We need to fix backup Center and NT. Run blocking up the middle was poor. Tony Romo in Pro Bowl form - he takes us to NFC Championship game or SB he will win NFL MVP.JJ and MB3 looked solid, TT Tentative out there. ST looked horrid last night. We need our starting OT's back. Free, Marten, McQ are fighting for two roster spots.starting ILB's #56 and #51 looked trimmed down and faster out there. Glymph looked more disruptive than Spencer. Burnett will be starting by season end, good to see Roy at LB some.PK'ers were solid. All in all it is what it is - a meaningless first preseason game.

The reality was that the defense was very solid.

I suspect arync was probably looking for the big impact from putting pressure on the QB that we are supposed to see under Phillips, and that really didn't occur.

But that doesn't change the fact that we didn't allow a lot of yards or points.

I agree defense looked good I will say I would have liked to have seen better tackling than I did but I'm sure that will improve as we move through the pre-season.

I thought Davis played well from what I saw. Seemed to get upfield and make a nice block at least on the play I saw.

We did miss a few tackles that should have been losses in the backfield, and Roy pulled another of his numbers where he unsuccessfully tries to knock the guy down rather than wrapping up and securing the tackle, but like you I'm not too concerned at this point.

I agree and not overly concerned. This was really the 1st chance the defense has had to go out and actually tackle guys instead of pulling up. As we progress through pre-season I'm confident that it will improve.

So what - Henry still made a good play.

If your standard is that a CB only makes a good play if he has a guy so well covered that a QB can't even get in a perfect pass in a perfect location your standard is way too high.

The bottom line is that Manning threw a pass that could have been caught for a TD, and Henry made a good play.

That pretty much sums up that play. If Henry does not knock it down it is a TD. While it was not a perfect throw it could have easily been caught for the TD
