Going to be a lot of crow eating around here soon … myself included

It would be great for position depth going forward if one of Wright/Joseph/Scott can really emerge and be a viable and reliable option at CB. Even add Myles Brooks to that list...

Tony Pollard and Terrence Steele, out for "precautionary reasons."

That's odd. I could swear that Jerry, among many others, has been insisting for months that both would be 100%, ready to go for the preseason.

lol ok I must of missed something.... what I am saying is todays NFL with the addition of new rules every year to make it easier with less work for the offensive players to gain more yardage and score more points effectively cutting defenses at their knees, it would never hold up to the rigor the older NFL teams and its players had to do to score and gain steam based solely on what they did on the field. Nowadays, you cant touch an offensive player without drawing a flag. The NFL is geared to making more artificial points to drive more fans. Players, especially offensive ones, do not hae to work so hard to put points up. That is what I mean by watered down. We are buying whatever they are selling even if it has been cheapened. Don' get me wrong. I still love the Cowboys and watch Cowboys games, but my Sundays are not based on only football like they used to and neither is the rest of the week win or lose.
So yeah, football back in the day was funner to watch.
Back in the day a 19-17 game was probably an exciting one, nowadays it means You just spent 3 hours watching 2 inept QB's sucking.

They are. Precautionary reasons doesn't mean they aren't 100%.
Oh, of course!

I'm sure you are right. After all, no reason to be skeptical. This franchise has a reputation for realistic, honest assessment when it comes to reporting injuries.

And why shouldn't the GM be candid about injuries? It's not like it would conflict with any of his other duties. Selling tickets is the responsibility of a different department that answers to the owner of the team.

Overly critical of a rookie in his 1st padded practice? Plus he is going against Tyron Smith who has been smashing defenders for several years.
I'm overly critical because it is emblematic of the point that a single guy does not do what people on this board like to believe. There is not a player in the NFL who won't get blown off the ball by Tyron and Tyler double teaming them.
