Yes, I know, First Take. But still it's an interesting question. First off, I'm not sure I agree with this group saying that Deion "won us a superbowl" when he missed the first half of the 1995 season. Did he play well down the stretch? Yes. Was he more instrumental than anyone else on the team? I can think of 5 players before his name comes up.

That said when I look at the ROH, I see almost entirely players that stayed with the team >10 years and had consistent success. Deion was here for what, 5 years? The only thing that gives me pause is that Haley is in with only 5 years, but I would argue we couldn't have won the early 90s SB's without him (my opinion, I know many will disagree with me).

What say you about Deion?

Deion is a Falcon first and foremost so I can't see him in the Ring.

He was a Falcon, 9er, Cowboy, Commander, and Raven.. Am I forgetting a team?
And that's just half of it.

Left Atlanta for its most hated rival. Left San Francisco for its most hated rival. Left Dallas for its most hated rival. Left Washington for its cross-town rival.

Best corner I ever saw, but a disgusting human being. Doesn't belong in the Ring.

I'll give him that.

He is more suited for todays NFL than he was then too.

You would see QB's avoid his side almost an entire game and the 1 time you went his way he would make you pay.

He only played with 9 toes for a lot of his career here :).

No way. He was a rental. We had him for some years and it seemed he was hurt quite often. Remember the turf toe of 1999 while his season consisted of him riding the bike?

I see him as a Falcon and Niner before a Cowboy, even if he played for us longer than SF. I thought he had a bigger impact with SF than he did here.

He shouldn't be... but they put Haley in so I'm not sure what the objection would be.

I wouldn't have been put out if Haley hadn't made it. But the one argument one can make for Haley is that he came before the Cowboys reached their ascent to Super Bowl champions, and he ended his career as a Cowboy and is still coaching with the Cowboys.

Deion - as has been stated - didn't end his career with the Cowboys and, in fact, went on to play with several teams. And Deion merely helped Switzer win a Super Bowl. He was a part of the core group that got the Cowboys back into the Super Bowl.

He is the greatest cornerback of all time, as far as I'm concerned. But I don't think he belongs in the Ring of Honor.
