Haley actually finished his career in a reserve role back with the 49ers. Having said that, I would agree that on the mercenary scale Deion was slightly more mercenary than Charles was, but ultimately they were both a couple of HOFers that came into town for 5 years and helped us win, but they both missed a lot of games and eventually wore out their welcome. And Jerry decided with Haley that a 5 year shift was sufficient for RoH, so...

First off, I'm not sure I agree with this group saying that Deion "won us a superbowl" when he missed the first half of the 1995 season. Did he play well down the stretch? Yes. Was he more instrumental than anyone else on the team? I can think of 5 players before his name comes up.

That said when I look at the ROH, I see almost entirely players that stayed with the team >10 years and had consistent success. Deion was here for what, 5 years? The only thing that gives me pause is that Haley is in with only 5 years, but I would argue we couldn't have won the early 90s SB's without him (my opinion, I know many will disagree with me).

No. I was a big fan of the player that was Deion, but he was in Atlanta the same amount of time he was here, and he was not in his prime at the end of his time in Dallas.

I do agree that they probably don't win the Super Bowl without him in 95.

It's my opinion that he shouldn't be in the ROH.

I can't believe that this is even a discussion. Haley shouldn't be in it either. But he did have a much bigger impact on all 3 super bowl teams in the 90s. Far more deserving than Sanders.

A number of players that were instrumental to us winning SB's aren't and never will be in the ROH.

If some players were instrumental, Haley was an entire orchestra. I can't even believe Haley is debatable, he was so important to those SB runs.

I don't consider Haley a mercenary because we traded for him. Neon went to the highest bidder...textbook mercenary.

I was referring to Neon in my comment, not Haley. I feel there is a legit argument both for and against Haley. Not so with Neon.
