I mean, I was just wondering if maybe he thinks Wade should bring a taser to the game and take care of whoever has a false start, like immediately.

I see the points others are trying to make. This is a team that has stopped itself time and time again, either through stupid penalties or throws that shouldn't have been made. You can excuse tipped INT's, you really can't excuse the ducks or really bad throws. If the throw isn't there to be had, throw it away. We lost a probable 3 there, possible 7. The same goes for Procter, we lost a probable 3 there, too. That's a 10 point swing (A win).

I also see the problem with the penalties. Although, if you check the stats on last year, there were quite a few playoff teams that led the league in penalties, so you can only draw so many conclusions from a team which has a high # of penalties. The big game changer is turnover. But, I think the issue with our team isn't exactly the # of penalties we get, but moreso the timing of them or field position we give up because of them. We get flagged at the worst possible times, which leads me to believe that our team loses the ability to perform under pressure and just commits penalties instead.

I agree. The penalties really need to be cut way back. I also agree that it is, in large part, Phillips job to make sure they are reduced.

Where I do have a issue though is when people don't like the look on Wade's face in the middle of a game, when there is a penalty. What should he do right then? Go over and administer a quick lethal injection during the TV time out?

He looks upset and unhappy. However, he doesn't have the "right" look on his face or he doesn't look mean enough. It's his face... what's he gonna do? He can't change it.

Lol... a goatee might actually help him out some. It works for the 9'ers D-coordinator. Wade might look pretty mean with one.

Naaaaaa. Probably not.

I've yet to watch the game, but how did they look GREAT and only score 10 pts.

They moved the ball every time in the first half. They scored a FG on the opening drive, only to have it negated by a rare holding call on a FG.

They moved the ball right down field the 2nd time, but Romo underthrew a ball to the inside with pressure in his face. If the ball would have been long to the outside, its a TD

They ate up 8+ minutes on a 95 yd TD drive

Settled for a FG after great starting position, but might have had a TD if not for a Colombo false start.

The run blocking was solid. The OL played well overall. We were without 2 of our top WR's and didnt seem to miss a beat.

Eh, the run blocking was probably average. We had a rough time getting a push while the 49ers were racking up 5 yards a run on us at times on basic up the middle runs.

Wade should do this. Then we wouldn't have any more penalties.

Really though, we all know Flozell gets a lot of false starts and Colombo and even Witten get their share. What do you do? Replace them with Free, McQuistan, and John Phillips?
