First Things First show

Agree to disagree. Any team trying to build for the future or win a SB any time soon would not want Dak. He may be somebody’s stopgap till they find a franchise QB.

During show they had a debate on what Aaron Rodgers was going to do. Said most likely scenario is he stays in GB. IF they part ways would likely have to be a QB for QB trade.

The only trade they(mainly Chris Broussard) could see both sides agreeing to was Dak for Rodgers straight up. GB gets their QB for next 10+ years and Dallas gets their win now QB before Jerry croaks.

I know Dak has a no trade clause but I bet that’s one scenario he would agree to.

Doubt Rodgers would ever play for McCarthy again though.

Thought it was interesting. Discuss.

So Dak isn't good enough for Dallas but he's good enough for Green Bay? And why would Dak agree to leave "America's Team" to go play in Green Bay, Wisconsin?

Having read things Rodgers has said about McCarthy you can bet he's not playing for him again.

Sounds like they were just filling air time with something that has no chance of happening.

What if Rodgers told Jerry he would come here to play, if MM was not the coach.
And...then add, he would play for Sean Payton.
But then what do you do with Dak?

Wouldn’t Dak’s cap hit be GB’s?

and for the 2/3 years we would get out of Rodgers we could make it work.

I know this scenario is highly unlikely just thought it was interesting
no, in any trade any bonus and gauranteed money would accelerate to the year of the trade and could be split in two if done after June 1st.

so no,it wouldn't work

Step 1. Stop watching those worthless shows that are made up from people who've never played football or NFL players that are too concussed to know anything about anything...

Why would Dak want to let go the Cowboys gravy train. Broussard was the one that said the Cowboys should trade Dak and two first round picks for Russ.:facepalm::facepalm:

Hard to believe Arod and
Mac would get together again

Plenty of teams would take Dak, but NO TEAM would take Dak with his contract.
Teams took Goff and Wentz ‘s contracts. The Colts gave up draft capital for that bum. I bet the 49ers get 1st round+ for Jimmy G. and he will get another phat contract.

Dak, right now, is the 3rd highest paid NFL player ever.

I just can't see a team taking on that contract for a player that's not even top 10 at his position.

I'd love for Jerry and some dumb team to prove me wrong though.

You sound like a Dak hater. There are several teams in our division alone that would take Dak off our hands and give up draft capital to do it. Dak is a top 12 quarterback in the NFL. He gives you a chance to make the playoffs. The Giants and WFT would love that.

There's this thing called the Salary Cap....this is not the NBA Chris where you just have to match salaries

Packer fans would riot if it is Dak for Rodgers.

They can have him for all I care.

He wouldn't be nothing on those teams because they don't have the weapons we do on offense.

Even if his contract was feasible, GB would not swap for Dak and give up Rodgers straight up.
Jerry and many fans overvalue Dak's worth.
Dak would not fetch a first-round draft pick, definitely not an even swap for Rodgers. Rodgers still has a good 4-5 years left of elite football.

We’ve seen Brees, Peyton, Eli, Rivers, Roethlisberger all give press conferences at the end of the season being noncommittal a few months before they retired. They all acknowledged they had a great career and seemed to “accept” that this was likely the end.

Rodgers on the Pat Mcafee show yesterday didn’t feel that way at all. He said he has all avenues open to him, but some are much more likely than others.

I believe this is posturing, he will continue and is going to ask for a trade… just doesn’t want to hype up the press until it can be official

Rodgers can be a free agent if he decides to.

If he leaves, there doesn't need to be compensation.
This isn’t true. If he decides to leave. Gb agreed they would trade him, not cut him.
