Well........His RB, Barkley is an MVP candidate and ironically players are complaining about the pass game. This is from a coordinate that didn't run the damn ball enough for MM (LOL). Just me, but I think Kellen has grown/matured a lot since his first year as the Cowboys coordinator. The reason I am OK with hiring him is the blow to the Eagles and his firsthand/knowledge of Vic Fangio's defense. Let's be honest, our chances of winning the division next season go through the Eagles.
He may have grown as a coach. He is a very smart guy and coaching is a learned skill

Sure why not. Maybe we can get Garret back too. The clowns don't matter b/c the ringleader is unchanged.

I completely support the hiring of Kellen Moore. There is a perfect job waiting for him.

Agreed. Kellen Moore would be Jerry's next Jason Garrett failed experiment!

What the Cowboys players need is someone like Mike Vrabel who is going to discipline them while make them both physically and mentally better.
Really the only thing that can compensate for Jerry is a bottom line guy at HC. Another Jimmy Johnson type who doesn't get undermined by the Owner.

Agreed, brother. Too bad no coach like that would be willing to come here and put up with Jerry.
:hammer:I wonder if Jerry washes the socks and jocks like he originally stated. He apparently does everything else, including coaching and game planning/personnel reps. What coach in their right mind would play Zeke at this point in his career?
Having said that with tongue in cheek, why can't he just be a mover-shaker in the background?

Funny that a certain local podcaster says he has the inside scoop that McCarthy's agent is already preparing his " contract extension" with the Cowboys.

Says his " sources" are never wrong ... lol :muttley:

There is only one way I would accept Moore as our next HC. The Joneses would need to completely fix the deficiencies that they created (on both sides of the ball) by not doing anything in regards to free agency. And by doing something, I don't mean going dumpster diving like Stephen is notorious for.

What I find funny is the assumption that Moore would even entertain coming back here. Why would he? He was fired with Jerry's blessings. He knows he will have little to no say in building the roster, and he's stuck with Dak. Moore would be a fool to return to this dumpster fire. He will have much better offers.

That’s what will have to happen before Moore would accept being the Cowboys next HC.

Absolutely agree. He will probably have a few options, I can’t imagine him willfully coming back to be put on a leash by Jerry and Stephen unless killing his coaching career is at the top of his to do list.

I don't think he will have options.

Moore has a perception problem (right or wrong) in that he is perceived by NFL fans as a wussy goofball.

Teams are gonna have a hard time selling someone with his perceived personality to their fans.

Jerry and Stephen are more than comfortable with his persona because they believe his ascension is their doing, and also he's a much easier tool than most coaches.

From Kellen's perspective, you absolutely take the head coach job that you can get. And I think Dallas will be the only one seriously in the market for him.
