good points...............I'm scared Dak is a gimp now, just a pocket passer who either cant run or doesnt want to run for fear of injury.

You can win with that if you got a strong running game (cough, Henry, cough) but our running game is straight up trash so having Dak wing it all day is a recipe for disaster.

If KM would install a strong running game to our offense, I would not be opposed to him replacing Fat Mike.
I've been watching a lot of tape on Dak and he doesn't even plant the same when he throws the football as he did before the injury. He's lost some velocity, and as a result, at times, he's overthrowing to compensate. However, when he does that, the ball goes everywhere, usually sails.
Kinda like a pitcher overthrowing you end up with dead batter lol

Exactly...........Dak was never the same after he snapped his ankle

Like you said, he is compensating by throwing the ball harder and faster and to his credit his arms are indeed more jacked looking than they did in his early years. However, lifting 100 lb dumbbells all offseason to get your arms all jacked up is not the way to improve accuracy, its actually the opposite, it can make your accuracy worse.

How's that disciplinarian thing worked out for Vrabel, exactly? Big winner?
Well, let's see...

Under Mike Vrabel, the Titans went:

2018: 9 - 7
2019: 9 - 7
2020: 11 - 5
2021: 12 - 5
2022: 7 - 10
2023: 6 - 11

Playoffs:

2019: 2 - 1
2020: 0 - 1
2021: 0 - 1

Not bad considering his team got old starting in 2020 and they started losing lots of veterans either to free agency or retirement soon after. His players certainly played hard for him and never berated him or talked bad about him to the media the way it's been done here lately.

Eagles passing offense under Kellen Moore is 31st. 31st with a RB who is having a record breaking year. Everyone knows he sucks. He always has. He is not the smartest guy in the room in any room he has ever been in. He's in fact very unimpressive basic and simple schematically. His passing offense is lacking in every metric. He isn't a head coach, never has been, and wasn't ready to be an offensive coordinator when Dallas gave him that job which he was let go from. The mere fact that his name has come up for the head coaching job is..well...frankly...stupid. It's finding new ways to make improvements on how bad stupid can be. That's the Dallas Cowboys.
Jerry Jones is not the smartest guy in any room.

The only, ONLY, way I would even think about tolerating this is if they totally clean house of everybody and KM gets to bring in a fresh slate of new coaches.

Anything short of this, just dont even bother and keep Fat Mike.
It didn’t work with Moore either, they need a clean slate and start fresh

Good point. I think Moore might perhaps be past even taking Jerry's call. Head coaching jobs are enticing lure, however.

Look...I think Moore is a ***vastly under-appreciated coach*** around here. Besieged and assaulted by many who know little.

That said.... it takes more than smarts to be a head coach. Many successful coordinators (which Moore has emphatically been) don't have that juice to be top dog-leader and tone-setter. While I'm one of the few around here who believe in Moore...I don't know if I believe in him as a head coach.
He could probably be successful in the right situation working hand in hand with a quality GM. Unfortunately that’s not here. He will probably have a few offers this year so it should be interesting to see what he decides to do.

Don't hold your breath..........Jerry has never hired a new coach head coach, new defensive coordinator, and offensive coordinator outside the team at the same time since Jimmy.

Still fully believe Zimmer is either going to become the HC or remain the DC.

Kellen Moore is the perfect coach for 2025.
  • Keeps the front office comfortable because he knows his role (see: Jason Garrett on draft day)
  • Allows Jerry to handpick the cheapest staff of familiar assistants and former players
  • Enough positive history to BS the fans in the offseason (top offense, Dak history etc.)
  • Not in high demand, so he'll be cheap and will sign a short contract (3 yrs).
  • When the season fails in hilarious fashion, and it will, keeps us in the running for Arch Manning.
You know, all the criteria a real football GM looks for in a head coach.

No question ......... I am 90% confident he will return. Having him return keeps Parsons happy, the same defense and gives the staff a strong tone-setter. This way Jerry can hire a coach like Kellen or Kingsbury with mild interpersonal skills. Keep in mind, firing MM means we a need head coach AND an offensive coordinator.

AND
forces the Eagles to hire another OC.....3rd one in three years
brings direct experience with Vic Fangio's defense
a hire from a divisional rival is a good thing

Hopefully a new OL coach as well.

Don't know why people are even discussing Kellen Moore, here in Philly they are complaining about their lack of a passing game and they have won I believe 8 straight.

Don’t Kellen Moore’s Eagles lead the NFL in Rushing Offense in 2024? Wouldn’t you expect this experience to have SOME impact on Moore’s offensive philosophy? I would certainly think so.
I hope so. Running the football is key to success
