Here's the problem I have with Adams, besides him being 32 at some point this year. He has 3 years left on his contract counting this year. Cap hits would be, 17M, 35M, and 35M. What's left of that 17M this year? This year would be fine. What do they do after that? They can restructure him. But do they really want to start adding dead cap for a player that age? He's fine as a 1 year rental. I just don't think this is the team for that.
It's fully guaranteed and prorated over 18 weeks. So, if they get him after week 6, for example, 2/3rd's is still owed or ~11.2mil.
Now, I have seen some deals done where the original team can pay X amount of the salary to move him. But I don't think that will be the case for Adams with mulitple bidders unless the raiders can get a higher pick for him by doing so.

They could not restructure without the player/agent. Any agent that’s willing to restructure the deal (in such a way that reduces future cap hits) without an entirely new deal with buckets of extra guaranteed money should be fired and sentenced to death. He is either a partial year rental or an extremely highly paid wide receiver for several more seasons. Or you actually pay the guy the $35M to play each season with the same number against the cap (pretty unlikely for any team)-plus he would almost certainly hold out.
You are 100% correct on this.

The thing is, Adams isn't coming here to be cut after this year. There would have to be guarantees going forward. No doubt he would help our offense. But he isn't even close enough to make us a SB contender. Why pay the price?

Just because you and many others want to drown, go ahead.
I am swimming to survive, and get to the playoffs, where anything can and will happen.
29 years ago, we won a divisional round playoff game. Not since. Apparently it can't happen here.

I do not choose to live 29 years in the past.
It does nothing for the present or future.
Move forward and look forward.

I can't believe people actually take Fish seriously when he posts this junk. He always connects Dallas to big name free agents and trades and none of them ever happen. Guy is just trying to get hits on his article. His credibility in regards to the Cowboys and their personnel moves is pretty close to ZERO..

He is awful. Always has been.

There’s trade rumors involving Tyreek Hill. Wonder if he feels the money he got was worth leaving KC and all the championships he would have. I would trade Parsons straight up for Tyreek Hill.

No pass rush...Unable to stop the run...Both great corners can't stay healthy. One pass rusher whose hurt....no proven defensive tackle and we talking wide receiver.... we talking -wide receiver
