Video: Fish - Earl Thomas as Cowboys Quinn-Friendly Addition?

Thomas played in only 1 game in 2019 and none in 2020 to he's been off for 2 years. He'll be 32 before training camps open and hasn't had a pick in 8 years, only 2 for his entire pro career. Now throw in that he sucker punched a team mate that got him fired his last team and this all adds up to make him a player to stay far far away from.

People are clearly tip-toeing around what is clearly a mental issue. They get <this close> to coming out and saying it, and then they couch their words and step back. So the real question is whether or not Thomas has realized he has an issue and addressed it, or if he's still in denial about it.

If nothing's changed in that regard, then nothing should change with regard to him playing football.

Actually that 2019 total and the picks was my bad. When I glanced at the years I didn't notice that the area I was looking at was postseason stats. But that still doesn't change my mind that the Cowboys should stay far far away from Thomas. It's one thing to be aggressive with players on other teams but if I was a team mate I'd never be able to trust him that he wouldn't sucker punch one of us. He's now average at best safety and with his mental issues the Cowboys need to stay clear of him.

If his mental issue has been addressed and he is chastened then he could be a huge asset to us by knowing the defense inside out abd we need a real FS in a bad way
 
I highly doubt DALLAS wants to taint the up and comers like Diggs and Wilson, with a potential cancer like him. EVERYTHING, ALL THE BOXES MUST BE CHECKED,VERIFIED IN TRIPLICATE before I take a flier on ET. Maybe thats just me. Seems like Fish is trying to sell fantasy as reality.
 
I don't mind ET if he's an upgrade and doesn't cost a lot since the Cowboys probably won't make much of a splash next year. I just question his abilities right now.
 
No to Earl Thomas
Dude has severe emotional/Psychological issues that's looking dangerous to himself and others.
Forget his playing days in NFL, very recent issues strongly suggest he needs deep help to save himself.
 
A lot of time and especially, events, have passed since Quinn coached Thomas.
