Earl Thomas is not signing for just the veteran minimum. He has already banked 82mil in his career. He's 32. He's at the end of the trail.

We should offer him a decent contract in game day checks. Some performance bonuses. Let him get paid as well as he plays. Discount it for perceived risk he'll flake come the season. Treat his signing like we always said to treat Gregory - as a bonus, if available. It shouldn't stop us from signing a S we like.

Offer him value for delivering value. Always leave him financial incentive to come through. Veteran minimum doesn't do that.
