He's not justifying. He's putting it into context when he didn't know there was a camera on him. He's right that his offense is relatively minor relative to what some of his teammates have done. Dez is a superstar, but Brent's a player on more or less the same footing as Randle. It's relevant that both of those players are playing after much more serious incidents.
Was there some difference in the treatment? maybe, could that irritate him? possibly, did he know the camera was on him? maybe not.
But where he loses me is taking it to the practice field and talking trash about two team mates to the point Witten tells HIM he needs to shut up.
And it does appear to me he is looking for some moral or treatment equivalence. When in fact he should be saying I screwed up, I own it and I am going to put my head down and do better (like those 2 players have done), kind of like what he said he was going to do in his released statement when he wanted people to forgive him.
Instead he keeps it going.
It is not the mistake, it is what you do about it.
And oh by the way Mr. Randle, who ever said life was fair.
