If someone falls and you think he can be a great QB you certainly consider it at this point. I just don't know about their QB scouting ability considering they almost never draft a QB high and when they have they ended up with Quincy Carter. Then they almost drafted Johnny Manziel and Paxton Lynch...

There will probably be 4 QBs go in this draft within the first 5 picks.

JJ McCarthy is the best QB in this draft. Spencer Rattler and Joe Milton will play longer in the NFL than Caleb, Daniels, or Penix,Nix. The first 3 I named are better than advertised. Maye is a bit raw, much like Caleb.

For the Cowboys, they do pretty good in the 4th. Ferguson, Pollard, Doug Free, Baidasz, Hitchens, Damon Wilson, Durance Armstrong, Dalton oh and Dak.

There are other positions currently with major holes needed to be filled, yet we don't have enough draft picks because Jerry is out gambling like there are no repercussions for such an unnecessary trade for a position that had no holes to begin with. In theory a Dak trade could potentially provide more draft capital. Of course some of it would be spent trading up, but if the trade includes a 3rd or 4th (with the potential multiple firsts) or something that would be a positive for their “build through the draft“ strategy. Now it’s not happening. I’m just saying.
