Being reported Cowboys have talked to Carolina coaches on Hardys character. And like what they hear

Things are changing around here. 5 years ago this deal would have already been done, us overpaying like usual. We finally understand that most likely we are only bidding against ourselves since most likely nobody else is involved. I mean if the Raiders aren't interested than who other than us would be?

I expect this deal to get done but it might take some time.

The salary cap limited them, just as it did last year. It has nothing really to do with things being different in how they approach issues. They just signed Smith to a huge, long-term deal that would keep him a Cowboy, hopefully for life. They also got to sign Dez. Jerry already said when letting Murray walk that of it weren't for salary cap, they would have paid him.

The contract he signed last year was for 2 years (a team option). NE declined the option and he became a free agent. So they let him walk more than you say we let Murray walk (which as ABQ put it is simply semantics on your part anyway).

That second year was never designed to be picked up. New England by all accounts tried hard to bring back Revis.

We did not try hard to keep Murray.

Looks like the "big splash signing" so many fans have been waiting for just might happen. Glad to see the Cowboys are being very diligent and looking heavily into his background. I'd imagine if they do sign him, the contract protects the team in the event he finds trouble again.

What's the Cowboys relationship with Rosenhaus like? Didn't they have issues in the past?

Thats what im wondering too. I thought the cowboys cut all ties with any player involved with him. If we sign hardy, dont be surprised if he changes agents in the near future

Don't think anythings closer than yesterday. Been conflicting reports all day. We are "interested for right price" but you could probably say that about anyone...

Hardy Boy will be our big splash this offseason, even though he don't fit Garrett's RKG motto.

They wanted to bring him back but early on knew they would not offer the money the Jets would.
I don't know why you are arguing over this topic unless you are just in the mood to argue.

That's all the cowboys do these days is talk when it comes to big time free-agents. action speaks louder than talk. this is a troll job on cowboys fans.

There are very strong sources that have report that there is a significant chance he will a Cowboy in the next 24 hours

The fact that a 10+ sack player who is healthy is still on market is telling. Dallas shouldn't rush as more time Hardy is in FA the more his price will come down. Now if Dallas can pull off a one-year deal even if its an over-pay then I will be impressed.
