Enough with the excuses. Purposely blowing it up? The FO has no idea what it's trying to do. So instead of trying to have our players look as good as possible and get tons of picks for players, you're just going to not even try and then let players walk the next year? That makes zero sense.

You see the bigger picture here. Yeah it sucks because 2024 is going to mostly be a waste of time for Cowboy fans, but if they do this right they be down and right back up in 2025 with a legitimate contender. Tricky part is going to be figuring out the QB situation, it would be nice if Lance proves to be the guy everyone thought he was out of college.

What exactly will the FO do to build a team around Lance? He's going to look worse than Dak, especially with all the holes they are creating in the team with all the players walking.

For 2024 I agree completely. Dak or no Dak this team isn't winning 12 games again with the current state of the roster. For 2025 if they stay on this path it does give them a ton of freedom to be players in free agency though.

They already are letting all the FAs walk. It's already underway. Expect only 1yr deal FAs to be signed and they will be bottom barrel most likely. 2025 they will sign a couple top tier guys. They will have a ton of cap space.

So if (as you sound) not a great fan of MM, you'll agree that giving him CAP crippling FA's that will be funded with 2025 CAP allowance, is compounding the mistakes and situation we're already in.
Take the reset and come back in 2025, with CAP and maybe different coaching staff.....isn't it MM's last year and Zim's on a one year?

The situation this year is what you get with a GM and VP that are amateurs and honestly don't know how to conduct business. Somehow, they think they can continue to do what they've been doing all along and manage to get better results. Why? Because they own the Cowboys and that just automatically makes them experts, capable of doing it their way. They'll easily get better results than knowledgeable GM and business managers. This season promises to be one that has its fans suffering through games that sees the organization exposing itself for the clueless fools they are.
