My reaction would depend on:

- What they are giving up
- Who they are targeting

TheFan radio station in dallas were just talking about this rumor. They were speculating on who it was for. They didn't think it would be for a QB (although I think it is). They were mentioning possible WR fits.

That's a significant move up. There's probably going to be a run on WRs starting around 22.

We are drafting 34th, hardly a significant move up. 4-6 spots? Cost what, a 4th?

If they are trying to get ahead of teams for a WR Washington is the spot they need to get to to secure whoever it is they want. Houston(22), Minnesota(23) and Cincinnati(24) have all been heavily linked to WRs. To go that high is going to take our 3rd. If the goal is only to obtain the 5th year option, which is about all 4-6 spots does because that places them after the WR run, maybe they can pull it off with only a 4th.

Using the 1st of the two 4ths would do it.

Not just a WR, but if they really like Spence, Butler, Dodd, Jackson and some others, and one falls into range, they may feel a small move will be needed.

From tweets and such over the last month, seems Doctson is their #1 WR. I'm a ND guy, so I would be happy with Fuller, but he does not have the best hands.

WR was my 1st thought. Mentioned this in another thread yesterday. Doctson would be the guy I'm after.

Me too....love his deep threat ability they can't double down on Dez anymore or they will get burned !!!

The scenarios I mapped out on Wednesday morning on 105.3 The Fan:

Be Prepared for the Dallas Cowboys to have Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey on the top of their NFL Draft board.

Be Prepared for Dallas to select Ramsey at No. 4 overall.

Be Prepared for the shift in plans coming if San Diego takes Ramsey at No. 3. … In which case Dallas is just fine at No. 4 with Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott.

But also Be Prepared for a pair of first-round draft-day trade shake-ups.

Be Prepared for Miami (or someone else) to jump up to San Diego’s No. 3 spot. The Dolphins could do it for Elliott. Someone else could do it for Ramsey. In either event, Dallas is left with a win/win — the bounty of being back enough to have the No. 4 pick in the first place.

And one more: Be Prepared for a late-round exploration by Dallas to re-enter the first round with a package that includes pick No. 34 and a target of a quarterback.

The Cowboys are prepared for all of this. You should Be Prepared, too.

Trading up for Cook or Hackenburg is worst case scenario coming to fruition for me. I would honestly rather take Prescott in the 3rd or 4th than surrender picks and take one of those two.
