TheFan radio station in dallas were just talking about this rumor. They were speculating on who it was for. They didn't think it would be for a QB (although I think it is). They were mentioning possible WR fits.

Move to 13 and grab Rankins. Trade 34 and a 3rd for the 20th and take Lynch. You still have 42 (I think) and like 78 (I think) and can go with BPA there. Maybe Joseph at SS in the 2nd and then MIller at WR in the 3rd (he'll probably go higher).

If you came out of this draft with your first four picks being Rankins, Lynch, Joseph and Miller, that would be quite a decent haul there. And with a bunch of 6th round picks you can even take on some risks like maybe Jaylon Smith, etc.

I think if they are trying to move up from #34 it will be for Sheldon Rankins

Problem with trading up is that or 2cnd, 3rd and first 4th rounder are all premium high round selections.

You could almost say the are close to the previous round in value and players always fall when assumed to go earlier.

Unless it is a difference maker, I would not trade up!

Who could the Cowboys be trying to get? There are number of prospects, but it's most likely dependent on what the team does in the top 5. With a need on the defensive line, Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson and Lousiville defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins are two players projected to go in the mid-to-late first round. There's also Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch who the Cowboys were impressed with during a private workout in March.

The Jets are a team rumored to trade from their position at No. 20. And if the Cowboys can workout a deal, Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell could be the target. The Cowboys recently got to know Treadwell during a pre-draft visit in early April. Treadwell was once projected to the Cowboys at No. 4 in early mock drafts this year. The Vikings, at No. 22, are currently the primary team projected to land Treadwell.

The option for the extra year is worth more than a 4th.
