I doubt they dump him too. It would be too logical. I like Romo, but he is clearly a 3rd stringer. We definitely need a vet who can back up Bledsoe or replace him if he falters, if we're serious about going to the playoffs this year or next year. I had hoped that Parcells would have a positive influence on Jones with regard to good decision-making. Now it seems we're going in reverse. That's what that recent article about the sad state of NFL backup qbs' was talking about. Even teams like the Colts are taking huge risks with crappy backups. In the old days, teams would rely on solid backups like Steve Young,Steve Bono in San Fran, or Frank Reich in Buffalo or Steve Beurlein, Bernie Kosar in Dallas. Now days teams are stuck with 3rd, 4th and 5th stringers as the number 2 guy.
