Fisher on Murray

Here's my issue.

You know that play he fumbled on when "he would have scored"?

No, many backs would have scored. Randle or Dunbar would have scored. But that safety would have caught Murray. They always do.

Murray is a tough and valuable runner, but there is a lot of yardage that you still have to earn because he can't take it to the house.

Speculation at best. You can't prove any of this. Further, when you make these assertions about what bench warmers would do, you also have no idea how they will hold up to the daily pounding, or the other yards left on the field when they can't move the chains.

They game did not change on that fumble.

The game changed when they decided tp throw the ball instead of run the ball for a first down.

Love Dez and his skill set. But what was called for at that juncture was a time eating drive.

You dance with the one that brung you. They should have gotten the first down and rammed Murray down their throat and won the game.

But how many teams have a running back that "takes it to the house?" This is a myth built up by this site because there are a bunch of people here who believe letting Murray go is a good idea. They believe in the leagues view of running backs and ignore that the really great ones get paid.

The game evolved. Dallas found something that worked.

Now you and a others have decided that this was so simple solving this issue that has been around since 2004 when Emmitt left. And maybe even before then.

Because as we all know, this management can't screw anything up now that they have found the right combination.

Shaun Alexander and Larry Johnson.

Look 'em up.

Jerry Jones attempts to stay away from talking about DeMarco Murray's free agency, says Cowboys would be better with him than without him

I think my point is not many teams have that element of a take it to the house player.

So two out of 32 teams.

Skill position, a guy who grinds out yards and time of possession. You will never convince me Murray isn't worth keeping. Especially if you toss out Randall and Dunbar as the alternative. Again, Troy Hambrick was held in esteem here as he sat behind Emmitt. That worked out, not at all.
