Schultz said no. He says at the combine there was no offer made. So it had to be recent. Foxsports saying Schultz willed up making 15mil ZAV
My guess is the offer was 11 million per with about 25 guaranteed and Shultz can probably get 14 million per with about 35 million guarenteed

I can see the Bears making him a huge money offer. Fields needs more targets in the passing game and Chicago has an insane amount of cap room.

Is he really that much better than Cole Kmet though? Honest question, I don't really pay much attention to the Bears but Cole has been one of their top receivers (statistically speaking), not to mention he is a few years younger than Dalton.

What’s the guarantee? That is all that matters.
Exactly. What does respectable mean? It sounds like lowball offer to me. Honestly who cares about the TEs. unless you use them like Gronk. We’ve heard that 12 package lip service for half a decade. Don’t get me wrong I like a good TE, it’s just they have 2-3 on the team already that are more than capable.

The problem is the OL and no absolutely no RBs on the roster. Plus you’d like to bulk up the defense but you can’t do that other than 1 or two players in the draft, a DL /LB or CB.

This year I go OL/ defense in rounds 1 and 2 than 2 RBs, then a CB/TE/WR. Really I think it might be a good year to trade up in the middle rounds and make sure you get 4-5 starters

So the strength of this draft is RB and TE. Instead of using that knowledge we are trying to resign two veteran RBs and a TE. Use that money to sign positions that will be hard to fill with talent in the draft and draft RB and TE. This is not that hard Jerry and Stephen.
You think they're actually trying to re-sign him? I highly doubt that. They're trying to re-sign him the way they tried to re-sign DeMarco Murray.

Fisher reiterated what is respectable to one man is another man's trash. He was basically mocking the "Offer," that was supposedly given to Schultz. Fisher has been saying for a year there was no way he would make any offer to Schultz moving forward. At least give some context to what the man says.

Great point. I actually forgot the had Cole Kmet. It’s arguable that Kmet had a better season in 2022 as well.

I think any deal would have to be atleast 13mil AAV starting. Since that's what he would've made in a tag this yr. I don't think Dallas would pay that

The offer doesnt have to be anything. Just because that is what he would get in a tag means nothing. They could have offered him 4 years 36 million. He says, thanks but no thanks. I think Ill get way more than that on open market... which is what happened. What the Cowboys offered? Im sure we will hear soon.

Schultz is trying to get $15+ mil/season. We all know it. The Cowboys probably offered him around $8 - $10 mil/season, but Schultz feels he can get much more via free agency.
