Really? I do not see NFL QB when I see Shaw. Scrappy competitor sure but don't see him having enough talent to make it.

Yeah. If we are talking about a late pick, then at least Shaw is a guy who I think fits the offense and can come in and give you some snaps if you need him to. I don't love his size but at least he makes good decisions, he is accurate and his game fits what we don offensively. He would not be my 1st choice by any means. I mean, I would rather have Carr but he's an early pick. I like Murray much better then just about anybody but he's a 3rd or 4th round pick as well. I'd rather have Shaw in the 7th then Savage in the Mid Rounds. Just don't like him.


Shaw may not be the prototypical idea for a QB but he's a career 65% completion passer who has some ability to move in the pocket. He has pretty good arm strength, he has excellent TD to INT numbers. If you like Johnny Football, then you have to like Shaw because they are physically the same QB.

Shaw is a candidate for me in the 7th.
3rd QB this year if Orton retires, PS if not.

Athletically he can do what Tony does with movement plus get north and south for yardage, unfortunately he can't throw it like Tony does.
Worth a 7th to run scout team and grow into back up.
