Fixing pass rush is a priority?

if they think Joey Bosa is going to do it, they are crazy. Why we did not go after JPP and Mario for the reasonable deals they got, I'll never understand. SMH.

JPP and Mario are past their peak and on a downhill slide. If they were cheap, then ahh shucks.......

I am not happy with our current line either but FA is just starting. Ask me again in July

People are overestimating the slide Williams is on. He had a subpar year last year but pretty much that entire defense had subpar years. The previous year he had double digit sacks and the previous 3 years he had nearly 40 sacks total.

Plus the contract he signed with Miami is extremely team friendly. They can get out of it with little salary cap pain. $2MM of dead money in 2017 if they cut him.

That's exactly the type of deal we should be in on, instead of thinking Adrian Clayborn is magically going to turn into a 9 sack a year guy.

nobody wants to sign him,i dont see a team which would want him except maybe the patriots.

It certainly appears that way, which might mean we can get him back for a bargain if the coaching staff wants him.

Guys there is still plenty of talented players left in free agency. Sorry but I'm not willing to pay Jenkins, Vernon, Miller the kind of money they were paid. Vernon is the highest paid DE with a salary like a QB........

You don't build through FA you build through the draft. You bring in free agents to help compete the roster but the first day you always over spend.

Guys like Nick Fairly can give you great production at the fraction of the cost.

Hardy is a guy you can bring back cheaper and just those two guys alone makes the DL look much better

RB we can get in the draft. Plenty of guys round 2-4 that can give us great production.

WR? Not really much out there but Dez should be healthy and Butler could explode opposite Dez. Wouldn't mind grabbing a rookie to come in. Mike Wallace is out there is you want a veteran WR.

QB....well we have Kellen Moore which I don't mind as a backup but most you guys ready to not give him a chance. So free agency you got Fitzpatrick, RG3 or maybe a team like Houston gets rid of Hoyer or Mallet. Draft wise we need 1 of the top 7 guys period, I really like Lynch in a trade up back into the bottom first.

Not many LBs out there that would make a huge difference but willing to roll with what we have (or draft) with an upgraded DL and secondary.

DB.....tons of talent left to be had plus draft is really deep here as well. Sean Smith is out there, Prince and Casey Hayward, Gipson, Reggie Nelson, Weddle.

Don't panic guys. We will improve our team. Teams like Washington, Philly and NY are going big in FA and that has never really worked. Let's see what team we can build going into training camp before we start condemning this team

JPP had 1 sack. Mario had 5 and quit on his teammates...

Those are players you want?

Williams? Absolutely. He's worth the risk, especially when the contract he signed is extremely team friendly and would fit right into the Cowboys thinking of not overpaying or putting on bad contracts for older vets.

When you have a big pass rush problem and your options are fairly limited in FA and in the draft when the one DE slotted in Bosa isn't necessarily considered a pass rush fiend, I take the risk on the guy who needs some motivation as opposed to a guy like Adrian Clayborn who has a talent shortcoming or Chris Long, who is clearly beaten down and hasn't been good for liek 3 years.

I'll wait for the smoke to clear before I applaud the Dolphins signing of a quitter for that amount. And make no mistake he flat out quit this season.

He wouldn't be the first or the last player to quit on a season where he has issues with the coaching staff then go on to somewhere else and be just fine.

And other teams will also improve thru the draft.
