I'm critical of bosa but I'd draft him over any of these free agent de getting a boatload that don't warrant these contracts.

We can't shell out big money for other teams castoffs. We have to pay our own guys and pay our new draftees.

Bosa is better than Fowler coming out. He was consistent in college unlike Clowney but I can understand if you liked him better. That guy from Buffalo U was not better coming out. He's better than Jordan or Ansah who was all potential. He's better regarded than Watt who was considered a borderline top 10 by the consensus. :laugh:Brandon Graham. Tyson Jackson. Gaines Adams

Chris Long was a similar athlete with similar production but Bosa is younger and more consistent.

I thought Cox was a good prospect they year he came out.

Bosa is one of the top 3 or 4 rush prospects to come out in the last ten years.

Bosa lacks elite edge rush capability as a top 5 prospect hence why most think at best he is Greg Ellis part two, solid in run defense but very little production by way of pass rush.

If we fail to draft Bosa for whatever reason, I'd really love to see Ansah become a Cowboy.

I think he may have the credentials and quickness to become a sack leader in our defense.

He'd potentially become a likely target if we decided to trade down from pick number four.

And other teams will also improve thru the draft.

Thats the name of the game. Many things can change like injuries (dallas) or over hyped, over paid free agents (Philly) that don't live up to the pay. I see giants being that team this year, they added tons of Free agents last year and have done the same this year and the first day isn't over.

We will improve some through free agents but also the draft but not every team upgrades in free agency or the draft

I was about to say is Ansah a FA?? Ogbah is awful IMO. He is lazy. I've watched him for years.

I haven't heard that about him but that might explain his apparent lack of support despite the impressive number of sacks he accumulated in college.

Is it possible Marinelli would be able to motivate him in Dallas? He's clicked with others but who's to say what may happen under different guidance?

He looks the part, but he's not consistent. He's a lazy player. He's shooting up the boards now because of his 40 time. Overrated IMO.

He wouldn't be the first or the last player to quit on a season where he has issues with the coaching staff then go on to somewhere else and be just fine.

I wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt... not at $8 mil a season.

You think that he lacks it. Speaking in declaration is fun but in experience Bosa has been the most dominant pass rusher in football for the past two years. You are projecting him as a failure and that is about it.

I find it amusing that people claim he isn't explosive off the line. But hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I like his measurables for sure. But havent seen much of his play

You like his 40 time.

His shuttle was a 4.51. Bosa 4.21.

3 cone 7.26. Bosa 6.89.

His jumps are on par with Bosa but his change of direction and short area quickness are poor.

You aware he had 5 sacks last year right?

He does lack elite edge rush ability, it is his common criticism.

Really because the criticisms that I've read is that he has improved against the run and keeping contain but still needs work.

I'm aware of how his career has gone. He absolutely dominated as a sophomore so every DC he faced schemed around him. Charles Haley used to have similar sack numbers in the glory years for much the same reason. Jeffcoat is to Haley as Washington and Vonn are to Bosa. They feasted on the single teams the elite player provided them.

I saw a common theme of teams trying to use the back to chip and end up sending 3 guys at him. Even the vaunted MSU game where everyone likes to wave their hands they did it. His motor never stops. He's a very aware player that reacts instantly to what is being done to him.

So anyway what does 'elite edge rush ability' even mean? His first step is 3 yards upfield off the line. He has the power when he gets his hand inside to rock OT and the savviness to exploit it. He can rip, club, and swim naturally in the course of his rush. He's only 20 years old.

Blue chip all the way.

5 sacks last year, not even the best pure edge rusher in this class.
