Fixing the secondary will prove difficult this year

I tend to disagree. In today's NFL, three-step drops and quick passes from the shotgun are the norm. You need good CBs to defeat that. You saw what Brady did to us: passes underneath to Edelman and Gronk all day and our CBs were not even in the picture. Sadly, this was the norm for the last decade. And the stats bear this out: we have consistently ranked in the bottom of the league in passes defensed and INTs. This means that our CBs just are not close to the ball. No pass rusher can help this. We need a revamped secondary first and foremost, IMO.

Guess illegal picks did t factor into that. Every big play for the pats is mostly because of them

So in your theory Seattle's front 7 made their secondary.

I don't know I don't pay attention them. But I do know that the lack of a pass rush hurt this team more then the cbs hurting themselves. There was a stat here last week in a post that the secondary was near the top of the league in least amount of yrds per pass play.

So then that would mean we got gashed in the run then. That would prove your theory.I think our front seven needs to improve on run stopping then
