How many other backup QBs have you seen have success against the Cowboys? Dallas is pathetic against backup QBs. It is a terrible running joke.

Remember that no-name joke, Jake Delhomme when he was a back up for the Saints? That guy propelled himself to a pretty nice career after lighting up the Cowboys in his first start. I was embarrassed for the Cowboys.

There's a reason Flynn is available. If he was any good he wouldn't be available.

Dallas wants to wait forever for a route to develop deeper down the field and Weeden has great arm strength so i'd rather stick with him.

I sense a little bit of resentment there... lol. I am a fan of quicker-developing routes myself.

He's available because he's battling a hamstring injury and the Patriots are already quite high on their backup, who also looked good in limited snaps last year.

They're also going to need a healthy body for camp and preseason games. Hearing they could bring him back.

I always feel like the cowboys are the only team in the nfl whose backup isnt being groomed to be the franchise qb when the existing one retires

I was gonna post this as soon as I saw. He tore dallas up 2 years ago. And 4 years ago with the packers he lit the scoreboard up against the Lions (the year they made the playoffs). He is a huge improvement over Weeden, get him in here!!

Flynn is a decent quarterback but I believe his legend is being artificially inflated.

Okay. Let's say Jones signs Flynn. Which question would the Dallas/ESPN media ask Flynn first?

1. How do you think you can help your new team? or
2. What did you think about beating Dallas two years ago after leading Green Bay back from 23 points down?

Was that two years ago? Russell Wilson has been on the Seahawks roster for four years, and the Seahawks cut Flynn because they were impressed with the then-rookie Wilson.

Or am I getting my years mixed up?

Hate to say it and I may catch some flack for it but if we needed a starter for a couple games, Mike Vick gives us a better shot than Flynn, Weeden or anybody else I can think of that is available.

This is not a message endorsing signing Mike Vick, more discontent for Flynn and Weeden.

Flynn did not so much beat us as we beat ourselves. Even the Green Bay players alluded to that.

The fact is we lost the game. Funny "so many teams" have backups that can have success against us but we have one that can't even be decent. Churn the position like we do the rest of the roster.
