It seems their tune has changed. They expect the $40 million QB and the $15 million TB to make everyone else around them better.

I don't think they have a plan.
also how does a player go about making other players better ??
All they can do is set examples, and maybe it rubs off and maybe not.
making players better, or elevating them or the team is the job of the HC, other coaches, and even the GM's job

When Dak broke his leg they were able to draft Lamb and Diggs. lol My bad that wasthe year before. They got Parsons.
yeah but they could have had a higher spot if they win less games, and Lamb was meh, what if they had the # 3 overall pick and had got
a top OT? Wouldnt that be smarter than getting a wr?

If they're even in semi-rebuild mode, they should try to get Sam Ehlinger away from Indy.
By the time Dak is done with his contract, Ehlinger will be ready to go. This kid hutzpah and great leadership qualities. This kid is a winner.

Supposedly they’re trying to save $ for Lamb, Dak, Parsons and Diggs according to Spags. I don’t agree with it at all. I don’t think Diggs or Lamb are worth sacrificing present available assets for.

Are you happy with the way they handled the Oline?

Signing Peters definitely helps, but no matter how you slice it, they handled the Oline situation poorly. A starting caliber OT should have been signed long ago. At this rate Peters may not be ready for the first game and someone else could have signed him right out from under us.
Very true.

No, not happy at all, but we all knew they would do something at the last minute, albeit because of they creating the problem to begin with. I'm with everybody and upset with this front office, but it does no good stressing or getting upset about it. All it does is raise our blood pressure and affects our health. Ugh.

Parcells----i too wish front office would gamble a some more in off season....Rams made 2 super bowls in 4 years out of nowhere.....they are not in cap hell.....there are so many ways to manipulate the Cap

personally i think Stephen Jones bottle necks our potential

They could care less if you agree. Stephen is running the money on this team and they "Like their Guys".

The Cowboys will have to tank this season in order to draft the next Joe Burrow. I will enjoy the Eaglets and Comancheros feasting on Cowboy bones this year. That's after Brady, Burrow, and Rogers tear them a new one.

Zeke could definitely be gone next year. DLaw could be next.

This is where the "Soft" Rebuild fails... As with this year I could understand the Coop/La'el/Jaylon situations, clearing out the underperforming and/or costly contracts, with a view to resetting the CAP (2022/23)....and giving our recent draft picks the chance to become the no.1's, play them years before the 2nd contract (rather than paying them for one contract year performance)....

But.......the real reason for releasing them was because Jerry wanted to re-sign his guy Randy....which if it's correct our contract was similar to Denver's offer it would of cost $25m over 2022 and 23 which wiped out ALL OUR CAP.

If DLaw and Zeke are selling jersey's they wont be cut. Money first, team second.

“rebuilding year” LOL

when will stupid posters wake up? Never I guess

the Joneses are only interested in being relevant that’s it. Only morons think they’re actually doing what it takes to win a SB

True.

Aside from Green Bay (which played its first game in 1920), Dallas (who played their first game in 1960) is the 2nd winningest team of all-time in the NFL during the regular season.

So, history would tell you, that they're really only interested in being relevant statistically.

I stopped stressing about this team after the 09 draft, when I realized just how incompetent this FO is. Now, I mostly just laugh. I will never leave this team and will always watch every game, but that doesn't mean I'm going to wear a mask and deny what has happened to my team.

Wouldn't take much. Ehlinger is a backup at best type.

2023 is a great QB draft class. Maybe we will be in position to draft one.
I doubt we'd look at a QB, with Dak's earnings in 2023 and 2024 and that
every draft pick's precious for this regime.
The problem for us is that at present it's expected to be a weak Tackle draft.

When you look at how much we've spent to replace La'el Collins, Amari Cooper, Randy Gregory, and Connor Williams it doesn't feel like we're going for broke,

I do agree this season feels different. They never like to spend money on free agents, but this year they are being extra stubborn about filling the holes in their roster. It almost feels like they are satisfied with a losing season in 2022.

Maybe they are looking for an excuses to make big moves next year. Maybe a losing season gives them the justification to dump McCarthy and hire Sean Peyton. Or maybe a losing season justifies cutting Zeke. Maybe they want to renegotiate Dak's deal next year. I don't know what it is, but the issues facing Dallas have faced them since they dumped players in the offseason and did not make a serious attempt to find adequate replacements.

We don’t like to think or talk about guys like Pollard, Lamb, Diggs, and even Parsons
And Dak are all about to need new contracts. That probably has something to do with being cheap right now. I’m as disappointed as everyone in FA. But that has to be part of it.
