I thought I saw the dead money cap hit dropped to about 9M after this season. Am I incorrect on.this? What's the cap hit for 2018 and 2019 if we keep him this season?

If Romo is traded or cut before June 1st (and not designated as a June 1 cut) there is no cap hit whatsoever for 2018 or 2019. That saves us 20 Million each year.

No what's stupid is protesting the use of $$ that are clear aren't going to be spent elsewhere because you can't agree with the principle of it.
The Cowboys always spend up to the cap so your argument couldn't be more irrelevant. If they have an extra 14 million the next 2 years they will spend it. That 14 million on a player(s) who will actually play is more beneficial than having a b/u QB for one year.
