Fools Gold

Huh? You were arguing for Dallas having a worse draft position, because you didn't want the Raiders to get a better draft pick, because you would be miffed about giving up a high pick that is already gone. Doesn't make too much sense, Risen.

I'm talking about not giving the Raiders too high of a pick. The higher it is the more valuable it is. The more valuable it is the worse the trade is. Where am I losing you?

I don't know what this has to do with what I wrote about this game. I never said Garrett handled the Green Bay game well.
Right, it has nothing to do with "this" game omer, and no where did I state you said clapper handled the game well, I was simply stating the obvious to your reply about how if, and if, the game would have been different post...again, who left the packers with a timeout and all the clock time.. was my position to it. just like last night....

This season could still end up a terrible and if it does I still say fire Garrett. However, if the Cowboys are going to go down and not make the playoffs. I'm more then glad they can help hurt the Iggles chances to make the playoffs. If the Cowboys aren't going I don't want the Iggles to go either, Handing them a loss to harm their playoff chances makes me smile, especially when it upsets Eagles fans!
Eagles aren't going anywhere regardless. They aren't a good team. I think they still have to play the Saints and Rams too.

The trade is done and over with, so it is like crying over spilled milk rooting against it being a high pick. The higher the first round pick we foolishly gave away to the Raiders, the higher our second round pick. Unless you think we are going to turn this season around, finish 9-7 and barnstorm through the playoffs.

Here’s my take.
What if we beat the saints?
How would you feel after that?
THIS........ROFL!!!!!!!!!!! Surely you jest man... let's see, clapper and vanilla queen and Dak & dunk against Sean Peyton, Carmichael, and Bress... ROFL!!!

This is a ridiculous thought process. Yeah, it does sort of matter where the pick is. It's irrelevant if the trade is already made. We don't know the value of what was traded yet. If it turns out to be a top 10 pick that's much different than trading away a pick in the 20s.

It wasn't just like last night. The Cowboys didn't leave Philly with a TO, and Philly didn't only need a FG to win. You are trying to make what happened last night into a repeat of the Packers game, and it wasn't. Forcing Philly to use the timeouts was exactly what the Cowboys should have done last night.

Of course, the further back the Raiders are forced to pick by Dallas winning, the further back the Cowboys end up picking in the 2nd through 7th rounds.

Huh? Regardless of what the pick ultimately is, nobody knew exactly where it would end up in the first round before it was made. Not Jerry, not Gruden, not you. You make the trade for the quality of the player you are going to get. Judge it on that. Is Amari Cooper worth a pick that could be anywhere from that of a 6-10 team to a 9-7 one? Probably won't be. Cooper just isn't that good.

Yeah that's true but that isn't going to make me want to give away the 8th pick in the draft for Cooper.

Garrett is still gone at the end of the year, so at if we can at least knock Philly out of the playoffs, that's a win/win.

This is laughable. You are arguing that draft position doesn't matter. This can't be a serious take.

Yeah, I said earlier that they aren't as good as they were last season. They'll most likely lose to NO. Wentz can be good, but he's not on Brees level and Philly doesn't have the offense to keep up with the Saints.

My guess is that the NFC Champions will either be the Saints or Rams, unless a lower seeded team is able to get on a hot streak at the exact right time.

Just like 1989 vs the Skins,, our only win of the season knocked the Skins out of the playoffs... a sweet end to a bitter season..

I'm of the mindset of just winning enough games so we're not handing the Raiders a top 10 pick.
That mindset also helps Garrett......I would rather Raiders get a top 10 pick than see Garrett win just enough to not be fired.

No, I am not. I am arguing that the pick is already gone. It makes no difference to us now. If you want better draft position for Dallas, you should be rooting for the trade to be really bad, because that would mean we are picking higher in the second round. I wouldn't have traded any first round pick for Cooper, but that is me.
