Fools Gold

Trust me, I’m not very optimistic at all although it seems that way. I know your feeling but looking at the rest of their schedule I just can’t see us losing more than one or two games.

As I said earlier, I don’t understand the fear of the Falcons. They have the worst defense in the league, we should beat them easily just by clock control. They won’t be able to stop us and our D may not be able to shut them down but they’ll get enough stops to give us the W. As a reminder, they have a llaing record, just got their butts handed to them by Cleveland and barely beat the one win Gnats. They’re not a good football team and we’re not great but we’re certainly better then them as a whole.
Interesting to look at - I haven't looked that far ahead before. Now that I have, I would agree that other than the Saints every team is beatable, but my hesitation comes from the 5 teams we have already lost to were also beatable. The offense has to find some way to consistently put up at least 20+ points to have a chance. Maybe Sunday was the start of that, but I'll have to see a little more to believe it.

Are you implying this team would not lose to a "non good" team?

No matter when, the Cowboys (like any other team) have lost games they should have easily won, like the (if memory serves on the score) the 14-13 loss to the Commanders at home a few years ago, the loss to the expansion Texans, etc. Even under Landry it happened.

So yes it's not unexpected they could lose to the Giants or Bucs, etc...

Yes and you have to factor in not just the teams but the dates, the Falcons will be the second road game in a row, then the next game is on short rest. No matter how good your team might be, it's difficult to win all 3...

That's my point. We will almost certainly lose to one of those teams we "should" beat. Couple that with probably losing 3 of the for against Saints, Atl, Wash, Philly, and I'm seeing 7-9 as an extremely likely scenario. And we'll probably beat New Orleans which would give Jerry the reason he needs to keep Red.

In a way, I agree with the OP. This organization is established to win SBs, not celebrate beating the eagles. That's one of the biggest why the Cowboys haters hate us so much and try to make our game with them as their SB. We treat every team in the NFL the same, we gonna kick you-know-what of all of them

YA but... clapper sent his offense out with over a minute to play, backed up 9 yards in 3 plays and handed the ball right back to philly with 53 seconds and a short field..were just lucky Wentz and that team are so beat up and struggling, had this been Arron Rodgers..... BOOM game winning TD< and a go for 2 to win and Dallas lose's by 1. Clapper is a joke, ya but, he always will be a soft, coddling fool and a wussbag when it comes to stepping on a teams neck then grinding his boot heel. Ya but, I'm betting the little wussy still has his wife dress him for work. Not dragging us in the mire, but it was my hope we got the snot beat out of us and Clapper was at least closer to being dumped in the bag of has been's and wanna be head coaches.... now were stuck with his butt for another wait and see from JJ..
yea because GB and AR are playing at a SB level :)) give it a break they had 3 TOS and high risk throws and plays would have been stupid and if incomplete stopped the clock, 3 runs up the middle they expected also not smart..i dont agree with the odd cute play calls but it got the job done they used all their TOs and we won..its over we won..move the F on! the freaking whiny little fans who are never happy even after wins is ridiculous..other teams coach and play.. you know what was more dumb going for it on 4th down with an easy FG ahead? smart, fake punt..which wa s our staff? look I want nothing more then see JG and SL gone after this season..as it sits they are here we have beat this dead horse between Dak sks and JG clapper and SL the joke and Jerry the donkey, we forget we are watching a game supposed.y our favorite team and well we have zero effect on what they do or dont do, can we not just get back to football and worry about the other crap later...

You can deny all you want, but you are the one that tried to dispute me by bringing up the Packer game as an analogy. So, but it's in print - you did. In any case, would you rather have thrown a couple of incomplete passes and leave them with the same amount of time plus 2 timeouts to work with? It would have been truly stupid for Garrett to risk that.
OHH ok what ever HC...either blind or stupid to make a comparison of what I said... must be the water up there. You keep "drawing" up those plays now ya hear

So you brought it up as a random completely irrelevant comment. Gotcha.

Ahh, good to know your all in with the clap happy, win one lose one... thanks

Could agree with you, except for the Saints game. No way we'll "probably" beat New Orleans, it's possible but to me extremely unlikely. And I know you were saying that just because that would assure Garrett his job, but to me I think it's so unlikely as to not even jest about ;)

Oh, so, it was significant to the discussion, but wasn't used to provide any commentary related to the actual topic of discussion? You have to make up your mind - either there was a point or there wasn't. You can't keep waffling back and forth.

Face it, these were your words ...

Say all of that IF it was Arron Rodgers with 53 seconds to beat clappers weak butt... think back to 2016, our playoff game.......................!

You clearly were equating the situation Sunday with that game, suggesting that the only difference was that it wasn't Rogers at QB.

Haha, true enough. But it's just like a Garrett team to pull off something some incredible that his defenders can point and say "told ya so" and Jerry can keep the Garrett family nepotism alive.

No doubt beating the Saints would, in JJ's mind, anoint Jason as the coach to take the Cowboys back to the SB, just have to wait on "the process" to do it.

Even if it takes another 20 years...

If you had chosen a respectful conversation instead of trying to cover up your comments with name calling I would have dropped it. You made your bed.
