Another pointless win and more talking bs points for Jerry.

The giants gave us that game on a silver platter and our D still let them score 20 freaking points.

The giants will get a new HC and a high drafted QB. Mark my words, the giants will get to a NFC championship game before we will.
They covered, that's real money

This was a game of two bad teams and Dallas came out on top. I think the Cowboys are a better team than the Giants right now but not as much as some might think.

I enjoys every win, but the Giants are clearly tanking which is why they cut their starting QB and promoting "Danny" DeVito to be the starter - who would have played yesterday except for an injury.

An offense, like the Cowboys, that struggles to score 20 offensive points every week, is not going to win many games. But they have some more weak teams on their schedule coming up so Maybe they still win 6 games.

"Pointless win?" What "point" were you suggesting should have been made on Thursday?

If you take the field, the object is to win...even with a severely-flawed team. That objective was realized. So shut up.

A couple things. Even though we'll probably only win one more game all season. The Cowboys are playing with more energy than I've seen in a long time. Even in the loss to Houston they were in it for a good amount of time.

I hope the Giants waste their top pick on one of those crap QBs. If the Giants were smart, which they are not, they'd trade that pick for a haul, then look at picking a top QB the following season.

Yep. Its crazy how all of Jerry's sheep cheer on wins like this. All we did was lose draft position. We will be picking middle of the first as per usual. This stuff only fuels Jerry's delusions about how close this trash team is to contending.Mike will get an extension, wash rinse repeat. Same losing formula that's plauged this team for 30 years.
We weren’t going to get a quarterback anyways. So we’re still going to get the top guy that we want. So why tank, and be a quitter

That was called a proper tank.

So.....you are suggesting that the best way to win a championship is to acquire the best players. This is accomplished by providing conditions that increase the probability of losing games. This is referred to as "tanking". This is done in order select better players in the draft.

Do I have this right?

You believe that the problem with the Cowboys is that they don't have superior quality talent, is that also correct?

I'm sure you realize that the draft will typically yield 6-8 new, young, inexperienced players to the remaining 30+ players they keep on the team.

Obviously, they have been losing more frequently lately or we wouldn't be talking about tanking, right? And, of course, tanking is going to add more losses to the losses they have already endured.

It sounds like that would be a real confident and inspired team marching into 2025.

But, then again.......The Cowboys have had some of the best talent in the NFL. The five previous combined drafts of 2019 to 2023 have yielded 5 1st team All-Pros and 13 pro Bowl Selections. No other team has more.

Is it really a lack of talent?

Or, is it a lack of emphasis placed on winning? Are other things more important than winning like marketing and sales?

.........and draft position?
Great summation and accurate.
The biggest problem this roster has to deal with is utilizing the specific talent appropriately.
Appropriately being the key.
I wish the reg season was 20 weeks because it takes this team half a season to start figuring out some basics.

I guarantee you that our front office right now is thinking if they just could have stayed healthy they'd have made a serious run this year.

McCarthy stays, continuity in the offseason and Rockport returns.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
And they may have been right.

Depends on your definition of serious run. I think Jethro's idea of such is win a playoff game and then lose the next close enough to delude himself he is once again the greatest GM in the game

That is a fan thing to hate on him and the team IMO. I understand it, but it really is not true.
I do not know if they really would have made a serious run or not. But I needed to post that, just to counter all the constant negativity. Heck, I have been much more negative than usual. And fans have the right to be.

Yes Jerry is delusional and senile overall. But that does not mean he is sabotaging team success over making a few bucks. He still has enough brains left to know winning a SB will bring in far for money than some 12-5, one and done seasons.

He does need to step down as GM though, we all known that for years. Now would a real GM be any better. We do not know that. As that would also depend on how much freedom and full reign he would have.

still cannot force yourself to admit just how lousy a GM he is, can you?
YES he will sacrifice team success for the Almighty Dollar and he has again and again
YES he will delude himself about his greatness as a GM AGAIN AND AGAIN
AND YES we would be doing much better with another GM no matter what

It's been two consecutive divisional wins and I have been entertained!
I would love nothing more than to witness this team disrupt our divisional standings.
If all we can do is play disruptor mode to the division and conference than I am entertained.
I look forward to MP and O playing Gladiator in the stadium together.
Am I asking too much peeps?
