So.....you are suggesting that the best way to win a championship is to acquire the best players. This is accomplished by providing conditions that increase the probability of losing games. This is referred to as "tanking". This is done in order select better players in the draft.
Do I have this right?
You believe that the problem with the Cowboys is that they don't have superior quality talent, is that also correct?
I'm sure you realize that the draft will typically yield 6-8 new, young, inexperienced players to the remaining 30+ players they keep on the team.
Obviously, they have been losing more frequently lately or we wouldn't be talking about tanking, right? And, of course, tanking is going to add more losses to the losses they have already endured.
It sounds like that would be a real confident and inspired team marching into 2025.
But, then again.......The Cowboys have had some of the best talent in the NFL. The five previous combined drafts of 2019 to 2023 have yielded 5 1st team All-Pros and 13 pro Bowl Selections. No other team has more.
Is it really a lack of talent?
Or, is it a lack of emphasis placed on winning? Are other things more important than winning like marketing and sales?
.........and draft position?
