And then it hit me. We had a big hand in killing their game next week.
Ind vs. Philly

Boy did that game go down the crapper fast.

Indy loses and McNabb out for the year.

I turned my head during that replay for some unknown reason. Could you explain what happened?

When I worked for NBC they were really in the can ratings wise and their sports were suffering something fierce, the Winter Olympics were a tragedy for the network. Shortly after I left they had to lay off close to one billion dollars worth of jobs because of ad revenue lost over the past couple of years. The fact that they even have football is an act of desperation to save NBC Sports.

With the advent of cable and TeVo, major sporting events will be of inflated value to network television because they provide sure-fire revenue. Super Bowl commercials are about to explode beyond rediculous in terms of the price for a time slot if the trend continues.

We might have gotten away with one on Roy's play. It was legal within five yards, but the ball might have been in the air. Too close to call , IMO.

It looked like it was still in Manning's hand when Roy levelled Clark. In any event, Clark never would have scored and at most the Colts would have gotten a field goal.

Spears held up, barely touched Manning who stumbled a couple of steps but didn't fall down. Both Nantz and Simms thought it was a brutal call.

I would think if Harrison actually made contact with Burnett... even with Harrisons mild demeanor, he would at least tell Dungy to challenge or plea his case to a zebra!

Fact is I watched that play over 50 times and I still can not see where Harrison touched Burnett.

There was contact as Burnett went for the ball, more like a crash, not a tackle. The question was did Burnett have possession at the time of the contact, that is debateable.

Simms thought there was and it looked like there was possession but it was not nearly as clear as the hand on Fasano's butt. Re Fasano, regardless of him being down by contact, it was dumb of him to leave the ball on the field like that. Parcells would have hired Tony Soprano to off Fasano if there had been no down by contact. I know when I saw him do it I screamed you butthead get the ball.

We have been getting props on ESPN from the MNF Sportscenter guys.

No mention of no calls, luck or anything.

Strange.

Eh? He said that the game wouldn't have turned out the way that it did if Burnett was called down like he should have been. Yeah, like that single play would have turned the entire game around. If I'm not mistaken, it was an INT fair and square. IF he was actually down by contact was the only thing in question.

I'm sorry, but maybe I am completely blind. But Burnett did NOT look like he was touched in my observation. And that is even with several beers in my belly.

This morning I watched the replay on Mike and Mike, and he still looked as if he was never touched.

I saw it as Roy Williams was between the two, therefor Burnett only touch Roy Willaims. We may be looking through our Dall as Cowboy Fan goggles but it looked ok. If it was obvious Dungy's guys would have had him challeneg it.
