For Reeves... it's a numbers game...

newman is our left CB, right now he is filling in for Henry since Reeves is the backup LCB.

When Henry is back in a couple weeks Newman will go back to HIS spot at LCB
this is exciting though... depth..at CB. Maybe it means Dallas can be more aggressive with the pass rush on obvious passing downs when they do play the nickel or dime instead of worrying about the 2ndary getting torched

It's great to have a young player like Reeves.

BUT...

This team needs to draft a 'blue-chip' corner in the draft and play him at nick/dime for a season.

I can actually see this guy getting pissed when ever Henry got an int. Bet you're actually glad he's hurt too.

edunce, you no doubt take stupidity to a different level. You can't even decide what you think of reeves. First you say that Reeves is younger and faster and cheaper and has earned a starting spot. A starting spot in place of either a Pro Bowl CB, and one of the very few CB's in the league that can man up on any WR in the game and be considered a true shutdown CB. Or a guy who leads the league in interceptions. Yet you STILL want to draft a young blue chip CB to start.

So can I. Pathetic isn't it?

Funny, the store scene from "Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood" just popped into my head.

Now I'm gonna have to go rent that movie, so I can know what you're talkin' about... LOL...

Just a warning. The movie is a spoof of all the "hood gangsta" movies. So be prepared for a bunch of bad acting, bad usage of cliches, foul language (which I'm sure won't bother you) and stereotypes.

The scene I'm talking about is in a convience store where the Asian owner tells the black guy "I feel sorry for your parents/mother." You have to see it in context to get the reference.

come on WG you should have told him to watch the REAL movie. Menace to Society. One of Jada Pinkett-Smith's earlier works....I had a crush on her from that movie with her little boney self.....:laugh2:

Nah, I wouldn't subject anyone to that movie.

At that time, pre-kids, Jada was a size 1. I've never in my life been a size 1. That's crazy to me. She's still pretty tiny, now. Some people are blessed with good genes and good eating habits.

We don't a have any corners who have been to a Pro Bowl.

You seem to have a problem with this team acquiring players who can play corner...?

Before Henry went down with his injury, our pass defense was ranked 23rd [its was 31st after the Giants game] and finished 24th last year.

So yeah...I believe we need a blue-chip corner.
