If he is thinking "by week six" then we are wasting a roster spot. We are already going carry one for Lawrence.

Not sure about you, but unless the player feels pretty good about his chances, which he does not, I use the roster devices in place get as many healthy players on this defensive roster that I can. This is not good enough of a defense to do otherwise.

I doubt he's going to be the same player he was..

That's what I think. I'm sure he'll see the field eventually but I don't expect him to ever be a productive player again coming off that injury. If he is, great but I don't expect it.

My guess?

Spencer starts practicing next week and is ready to contribute (provided there are no reverses) in game 3. He won't be starting. But he'll be able to contribute 20 snaps.
