For the sake of the sanity of this fanbase they must win this game

We've been shamed too many times by this franchise in big games the last 5 years. I've lost count how many times they've shamed us. It's almost unbearable to think of all the low points the last few years. We've experienced it all. From blowouts like a 44-6 elimination game to blocked punt tds in overtime. From losing 3 td leads in the 2nd half to losses in the final and inaugural games in stadiums. It's unbelievable this stadium still sells out considering what WE the fans have endured. We support them monetarily yet all they do is spit on us. Well now it needs to stop. They owe us one...just one damn game where they show some backbone..some gusto and make this fanbase PROUD for once. If a doctor were to diagnose this fanbase right now, he'd say we were clinically DEPRESSED. Some of it might be our fault for falling for the Jerry hype every year and overrating the team but I don't care, enough is enough. It's time this team for once...just once go into the gauntlet and MAN up and win a game....for them but more importantly for US, the fans who have stuck by this mess thru some trying times. Some will call us the stupidest fanbase in the league, I disagree. We are one of, if not the most LOYAL fanbases in the league. I don't give a rats arse what that Packers fan Sturm says. The Texans have had good success the last few years...they have one bad half season and there was empty seats everywhere last week in Reliant. We've endured 20 years of misery yet we still sell out Jerry's play pin. Yet we are the spoiled ones?? THIS IS A GREAT FANBASE, don't let anyone tell you differently. The Cowboys must win this game. I fear what this place will look like on Monday if we don't.

We are the stupidest fan base in the league. We continue to prove that year in, year out.

I stopped my direct monetary involvement of this team a looonnnnngggg time ago...the indirect (watching on TV) is going to remain the same....

but, Zordon, I agree with your OP...something has to give...empty seats are the only glaring thing that will get noticed...the problem is that as soon as a season ticket holder says "I am not going, screw it!", then they sell the tickets on line to the opposing team's fan base who want to experience the greatest stadium in the world (just ask JJ)....I don't blame season ticket holders at all for selling them as that costs WAY too much money to just sit on them.

We are, sadly, in the hands of a rich miser that wants to make money and see his mug on tv, he doesn't care how he gets that accomplished - the old adage of "any media coverage is good media coverage" is how JJ does his business....losing gets the cowboys on the front page moreso than winning...thus, nothing will change until the maniacal guy at the top hires a GM to run the team...I believe he just said 10 - 15 more years he will do this????? I like JJ the owner, can't stand JJ the GM....

Well, I always hope for a win, but if we lose it will be a embarrassment and if we continue to fold I believe Jerry will resort to hiring another real football coach. That is not a bad thing.

All I can say, is if we let Cruz get behind the " D" and let him let them beat us on the long ball,
the coaching staff should be fired. and ,we deserve to lose.
He is the only weapon that has hurts us every in game we have played against him. Take him out of the game
and we win.

Even if we do beat the Giants , we'll probably follow it up with a loss to the Raiders. That's the way we roll. I never get too high after a win. I've been down that road before.

I like how we match up with their receivers. Scandrick will be all over Cruz step by step, Carr will contain Nicks and Mo gets to matchup with his old college team mate in Randle.

To the OP, we do need to win this game and I'll say it's a must win. For the simple fact it would boost our confidence sweeping the Giants and virtually ending their season. In addition, it improves our conf & div record.

I am not worried about the fan base. Those that see hope will still see hope after a loss. Those that see the same mediocrity will still see it win or lose. The Cowboys need to win for the sake of themselves to get some confidence back and to kick the bullies ***.

People still have expectations for this team ???

I lost that a long time ago, ... I just watch now because I have to, ... I can't not watch.

They are my team, have been since '65 or '66.

I always hope, and want them to win, ... do I expect them to?? Nope.

They have proven that they can beat anybody, .. and lose to anybody, .. in any way imaginable.

I think we will win, and also win Thursday against Raiders. We will be 7-5 and will be all excited again, then we'll lose one more and then week 17 against Eagles will be for the division and a playoff spot.

People will keep coming and buying like they always have. The Boston Red Sox are more popular then the Pats in NE. The Pats were winning SB's during the 76 year drought for the Red Sox, but people still bought, and came to the ballpark, and would miss a Pats game to see them.

It's called hope and belief.

I agree, but don't you think some people might go crazy if the Cowboys beat the Giants but still subsequently lose to the Raiders, Bears or Packers?

Actually a loss to the Raiders would be better than a loss to the Giants.................I am talking in terms of division and conference records...............non conference AFC games count the lowest of all games, those are the ones you want to lose.
