Fix'd.

How are you going to say Witten is a one of the league's best(which he is probably the best.) and call Tony Gonzalez a above average TE? He's at least 2nd or 3rd behind Witten and Gates.

Roddy white should be a WR you should be scared of. Especially with our secondary who always gives up big plays at the end of games.

How much you wanna bet the Falcons try a flea-flicker and Roddy White is wide open?

tyke,

Just curious. Do you really believe your signature? It doesn't show in your posts IMO.

As for the game, I think this is a great match-up of two quality teams.

Despite how fans and media alike love to slam the Cowboys they have enough firepower to play with anyone. The uncertainty of course is whether we'll shoot ourselves in the foot somehow and let mistakes (again) be our own undoing. That makes a lot of Dallas games very unpredictable.

I hope we're growing out of this but I don't know.

Like others, I was surpised the Bears played the falcons as close as they did in Atlanta. That certainly didn't discourage me.

I actually think on each teams best day, we're better. But will we be this week? I think this team's psyche is a bit bruised after this start and we have the potential to fold the tents if our current trend continues. We are getting mercilessly lambasted IMO and at some point, when you truly are struggling to find yourself, it could all cave in.

I will say that I am thankful that in 2009 it appears that players like Witten, Brooking, James, & Ware are this teams leaders and are all very much team guys. As opposed to last year in which their was too much vocalness around who is to blame.

How good Atlanta really is is not the issue. How good Dallas will make them look is.

That goes without saying, doesn't it?

Of course, Cowboys fans are going to have higher standards for their team than other teams just as parents should have higher standards for their children than other people's children.

As a fan I'd like to see my team win every game. But if we're not going to win every game, at least try not to kill ourselves with stupid mistakes. Is that too hard to ask as a fan? Is that too much to expect from your favorite team?
You're talking normal expectations. I'm talking about the unrealistic fans who find fault with Dallas and only Dallas. Surely you have noticed it on this board.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I still after 6 weeks, don't know this teams identity.

We're too up and down, and barely beating the KC, wow. I know we can beat teams like Atlanta, but I'd be too scared to put money on it, or bank on it because this team isn't consistent..

We are going to beat atlanta. They run the ball too much, (yeah it is possible) and can't keep up w/us offensively. We just have to stop making those stupid mental mistakes that kill us which is unfortunately a staple with us. This game though I feel our team will be amped up and ready for the running game and matt ryan will have to dump off alot if we play press coverage but unfortunately wade doesnt believe on that for some reason?

I hear ya... but that tells me that they are smart enough to stay close in games where they are not dominating and STILL WIN. Whereas we can dominate a team and STILL LOSE.

As far as home and away. Romo seems to play better on the road. He doesnt like things like grand opening of new stadiums and things like that. :D

BINGO.

I think a lot of people are short-changing ATL.

Lots of side stepping around Dallas' issues while nailing ATLs head on.

I think people are pointing out that Atlanta is a good team, but not what a lot of people are making them out to be. If you don't think that Dallas' issues haven't been harped on enough on this board then I'm sure you can find a thread or 200 that will let you in on what you're missing out on.

Here are the facts. Dallas is a good team. Atlanta is a good team. This is the NFL were wins are squeaked out each and every week. There is the occasional blowout, but more often then not it's a close game. Those blowouts are because of TO's and most likely on the opponents side of the field. This game will come down to who turns the ball over, and what player can make a play in the 4th quarter.

Hopefully the game doesn't come down to either. You'd be correct if it was the case.
