Glad to see many of you coming around to the realization that the Cowboys will be moving onto a new backup QB. Also realize that whoever is the backup QB next season will be a huge tell on where McCarthy is taking the offense. Maybe Will Grier is the guy, what do we know about him? And if it's true about Jerry wanting to draft a QB, maybe this is the year we draft our Jalen Hurts, meaning future QB and Dak becomes trading fodder for future picks. Time will tell!

There aren't enough QBs to go around in the NFL. Rush is 5-1 as a starter and even if that is a mirage it is still enough to get him a job in this league.

Idk if brisset is still under contract but he would be a viable option. If the plan is to not resign Dak, then we need one in the draft

Since Cooper Rush was purely a Kellen Moore creation and would make much more sense for him to follow Kellen to the Chargers, who do you think will be the backup QB next season? I know nothing about Will Grier or if he is a McCarthy pet project. Is there any QB out there you would want that is familiar with the incoming BS (hint our new OC) system?

An important question since Dak's track record suggests that whoever the backup QB is will start a few games for us next season.

Greer or a draft pick like Hooker.

he is 5-1....but why? the offense he produced ranked 21st in scoring, 27th in yards, 27th passing. dead last in TOP. if not for defense scoring, it would have been worse.

Rush needs a top notch defense to help pull out wins, as his output got progressively worse as more tapes were available...

but it sounds like you attribute win/loss stats to QB.

if Rush continued to play after eagles game, we would miss the playoffs and probably end up with a top 5 pick...which wouldn't have been too bad if you ask me.
