safeties are more alike than any of those. see they try to make it easy for you. by having safety in both of them, but some still dont get it. guards and tackles diffreent words, recievers and tightends different words punters and kickers different.

there is no getting through to you. you are an absolute cowboy homer. i like the cowboys but i wont do anything to defend a player when i know im wrong. i woudl like to see the cowboys improve, but your to worried about defending players that you are oblivious to the truth. roy is a liability in coverage.

Sorry I dont defend anyone where I can be shown to be wrong. Its very simple. If you could prove me wrong you would, but you cant so you throw out names or make things up that were never said to try and distract from the debate. Its like the bent spoon trick. i never tried to change the subject... so i dont know where you got that from.

free safety has to cover more and strong plays closer to the line. but most are interchangealbe since they will both do eachothers jobs in circumstances.

I asked what their specific jobs where and why they are called different things.

As for sports I played baseball and football as if that means anything in this debate, again you are trying to change the debate.

i havent tried to change the debate and im not trying to now. if you have played sports than you probably played both ways for example in football. offense and defense. now say you were fat they put you on the line switching between say guard and tackle or guard and center is harder than say switching from free safety to strong safety. i doubt any safety woudl have trouble switching back and fourth even if it was every play. for example roy did it. he played free safety his firts year.

Well Bill Parcells disagrees with you which is why he refuses to switch SS over to FS etc.

SS and FS in a base defense have different roles. Now in defenses such as the cover 2 they are both used alike, but that is not the norm.
