Too bad. That knee injury must have done him in.
Has nothing to do about the knee according to reports in Seattle.....It's all upstairs in his head. Why this guy got so much credit here is beyond me. Guy was a fragile mental case when he was here......not something I would ever want in a lineman. You better have your psyche in check if your gonna play on the O-line. Yet....we took the bait on draft day because he was a Texas kid. Just goes to show how uninformed our scouting staff can be.....should of had a red flag considering his history.

It's because the Cowboys coaches are idiots!!! Dumb idiots never understood how to properly use Connor Williams. He was a Center who was forced to play Guard. The Dolphins figured it out right away and used Connor properly for several years. Too bad Connor Williams tore up his knee. If not, he would still be playing and dominating at Center.
Sadly....starting to think they are doing the same thing with Beebe....he's a guard.....but forcing him into the center spot because they just don't have anyone else.

I always thought we needed to move him back to tackle because he has good feet and good technique but didn't have to power to take on DTs. The move to center was probably best for him because I don't think he would have been a great tackle (just better than at guard). He really struggled with his snaps, though, when we tried him out there, so I didn't think he'd make the conversion successfully.
That's what a lot of people were wanting, including me. I can't believe we didn't try him at Center. I was never impressed with Biadaz.

Cowboys should move Beebe to Guard and plug Brock Hoffman at Center. Starting lineup would be better like this:

LT: Tyler Smith
LG: Cooper Beebe
C: Brock Hoffman
RG: Zack Martin
RT: Tyler Guyton / Terence Steele

Sadly, these Cowboys coaches can't think properly.

We did try him there in 2021, but it wasn't an extended effort. Apparently from what I've been reading, he's been having shotgun snap issues throughout his time at center.

Which position did you play? Center is the toughest, mentally.....but, LT is the toughest on you, mentally....does that make sense? Lol

Connie was a weak competitor since the day we drafted him. He just never looked like an NFL lineman. He was built like TE with skinny legs for a man his size.

He wasn't good in Dallas and a lot of our big runs were called back because he held. He just never was big enough to be a dominant guard in NFL. I'm not surprised he was a better Center because they rarely take on one guy at a time.
He wasn't as bad as some pretend he was either. Just shows you Miami saw the potential for him to be great where Dallas did not.
