Former Cowboy Connor Williams retires

Wasn't appreciated at all by Dallas fans. Became one of the best centers in the NFL for Miami. Got hurt, cut and not he can't even finish a season with seattle. I assume this is injury related but man he had a short ride on top of the leaderboards for a little bit.
He wasn't good in Dallas and a lot of our big runs were called back because he held. He just never was big enough to be a dominant guard in NFL. I'm not surprised he was a better Center because they rarely take on one guy at a time.

Why would he retire in the middle of a season? At least Gallup retired before the season started.
That is a bit weird. Was he banged up some? I would think at this point if you've started every game this season, you'd ride it out ... unless you were being pulled as a starter.

I always thought we needed to move him back to tackle because he has good feet and good technique but didn't have to power to take on DTs. The move to center was probably best for him because I don't think he would have been a great tackle (just better than at guard). He really struggled with his snaps, though, when we tried him out there, so I didn't think he'd make the conversion successfully.

No. That was Jonathon Martin who got bullied by Richie Incognito. They were never on the Cowboys. They were before Connor Williams ever made it to Miami.
Martin claimed that he was bullied by Incognito, Martin turned out to be a headcase. Many said that Incognito was a headcase as well but lots of his teammates loved him which cannot be said of Martin.

Yes, C Williams was bullied as a youngster as reported by him.
