Eh, not a fan of Pacman. But I don't like loudmouth females who step to men as if they're untouchable.

I guarantee that had he not cold-cocked her, she would've swung on him instead. Her first step was getting mouthy with him. 2nd step was pouring beer on him. Had he walked away, I promise you she would've followed him. I know too many ratchet women like that. I don't feel sorry for her, at all.

Thanks for posting that.

I don't consider that self-defense, at all, but even if it were, it's unconscionable. That guy deserves whatever the legal system has in store for him. It was a blemish on our organization that he ever had a star on his helmet as far as I'm concerned.

After watching the video, she goes for his face first, which pretty much makes it a cut and dry self-defense defense. Whether or not he needed to do that, she makes the first move.

Jones was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Monday and taken to the Hamilton County jail after he allegedly struck Shannon Wesley, 34, just before midnight on June 5.

Hamilton County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Knapp said Jones would be held overnight and arraigned Tuesday morning. But court documents show Jones was released on his own recognizance.

According to police Jones and Wesley got into a verbal altercation at FB's, a bar at 134 West Sixth Street.

Earlier Monday, Jones announced on Twitter he had been arrested, probably in an attempt to provide his account before the Cincinnati Police or possible witnesses provide their versions.

Jones claimed he was acting in self-defense, an account his agent, Peter Schaffer, also provided to USA TODAY Sports by claiming he hit Wesley in the face after she might have thrown a beer bottle at his head.

Exactly. Because it gets more attention that way, and I was playing off of that well-known complaint around here.

Also, he's a former Cowboy.

Thanks, WG. I didn't want to be the first one to say it. Not a fan of him either. Too little talent for so much trouble.

My only question is why does Pacman continue to put himself in these situations?

People can defend him all they want but it is not hard to stay out of trouble millions do it every day yet from some they continue to put themselves in certain situations or hang out with certain people and find trouble. Pacman is and will always be a knucklehead

He may or may not be culpable in this situation, but here he is, in trouble again. You can fix ignorance with a little work, but for stupid it's much, much harder.

For all intents and purposes, this is a dude seemingly out for a drink with a friend. Seems innocuous enough to me. Now he may have said something to her which got her going, but it's not like he was in the scrip club making it rain.

The assumption most people make is "Oh no, a man hit a woman." But my first question is was this woman acting like a lady? He could've very well said something to offend when he declined her autograph. She could've walked away just like he could have. Was she being a lady in her actions? Doesn't look like it to me.

The debate is whether she deserved to be popped in the mouth...and I just have to say, "I don't know." That situation was going to escalate whether he did something first or not. This was a ghetto-hood ratchet female who wasn't going to back down.

I don't know maybe if you are always getting in trouble you might want to give up drinking and hanging out in bars? I can't defend a person who is constantly getting into trouble and blaming others sooner or later you have to take account of your life and ask why is it that I get into trouble and what changes can I make in my life to avoid it? There are many athletes who never get into trouble so maybe it is they are not hanging out in clubs or with idiot friends. You may not be able to control what others do but you can control what you do and where you go.

He is definitely an idiot who it seems will never learn. Maybe a lifetime suspension from the NFL would teach him. However, a drunk woman who pours beer on a man she doesn't know from (pardon the pun) Adam is not exactly a MENSA candidate. They're both idiots in my book. Pacman is just the well known idiot.

I actually agree with much of that

However, this is a guy who hasn't been in trouble in quite some time. And after awhile, I'm not going to relegate a guy to being in the house for past grievances if he's pretty much kept his nose clean. Being out for a drink or whatever with a friend isn't the issue.

The only issue, IMO, is his reaction to the crazy female. Didn't look like he was doing anything out of the ordinary prior to them coming up to him. Everything after that is what's at issue. Then again, I don't have a real issue with him popping the female either.

Well if he continues hanging out at bars and with idiots then he can expect more problems. Again others manage their lifes without a single incident yet guys like Pacman can't. I really do not care one way or the other but it is not by accident that the same fools get into trouble and there are 100% ways of avoiding trouble. He controls his life not others, choices he makes, where he goes who he hangs out with go a long way in taking care of the problem.

When I was growing up I use to argue with my dad about this and he would tell me where I was hanging out and who I was hanging with mattered in terms of avoiding trouble. I found out he was right and I was wrong. I made some life choices and have not been in trouble since. Not running the streets at 2 or 3 am, not hanging out in bars and cutting loose idiots around made a world of differance.

I think he'll get charged with battery. He was seperated by a small gate/fence and could have easily walked away at any point. He actually approached them in response to whatever was being said. It doesn't look like the bottle is thrown, rather just pointed into his face, and he hit her pretty hard in the head. When I think of hitting someone in self defense, I think of being attacked, not merely being baited. Knocking the bottle out of her hand, pushing her arm away? Sure, I can understand that as self defense, but he basically swung on her.

According to him and witnesses she hit him with the bottle. So trying to throw beer on somebody and hitting them is an assault. So either charge them both or don't charge either.

Eh. Don't feel bad for him in the least. When you're a guy who has the type of reputation that he has then you have to know that it's probably in your best interest not to be out in clubs and drinking and all that jazz.

If you decide to go ahead and do those things anyway then unfortunately you're going to have crappy stuff happen to you and around you due to your reputation.

It's his own fault that he earned that reputation and it is going to always follow him, right or wrong.

I'll readily concede there may have been more than one idiot in the altercation. But, all I can say, is I've got a big mouth myself, and I'm not shy about going into bars, and I've never even been close to hitting a woman and am fairly certain nothing on that video would have incited me to do so.

Pacman made a different choice, and now he gets to enjoy the consequences of that choice. This could conceivably cost him everything he's done to rehabilitate his career in Cincy. I hope he thinks it was worth it.

I'll go out on a limb and say I expect he thinks it's all somebody else's fault. I think this guy ends up in jail before it's all said and done.
