Twitter: Former Cowboys QB Quincy Carter Tweet

Offenses were different 25 years ago. It would be like comparing Troy’s numbers to Terry bradshaw.

Troy played in a power run offense while Dak plays in a pass happy offense also.

…actually we are a run first offense

Troy was viewed as the best qb of his era, the most accurate qb and is in the Hall of Fame.

…lol he def isn’t viewed as the best qb of his era

He has an MVP also and a dynasty qb.

He had the most wins of any qb in any decade at time of retirement, he past Montana.

He also was 1st or 2nd at the time retirement with post season stats. It was him and Joe Montana.

Look at Marino’s numbers to Brady numbers. Marino was considered phenom with a blazing fast release but Brady, Manning, Brees probably doubled his numbers and Matt Ryan has probably passed him too.

You gotta judge people to their era.

I think you have to verify to them you are who you say. Now the next question is,Who iz you?

Im no one special, I just remember having one, and I don’t remember doing anything other than signing up and verifying through like an email or something. Idk it was when it sorta was new.

4=8, 8=4, Dak is Troy, he now has the same thing that Troy had a defense, Oline, Running Game and Receivers, what he's missing and that may be the what holds us back is the OC, possibly the HC too. Troy had Norv and Jimmy

troy's got 3.
the end.

What you mean to say is that Emmitt has 3. Troy was a passenger on the Emmitt Smith bus. There is a reason Emmitt is one of the few non-QB's to win the NFL MVP award. And there is a reason Troy never came close to winning an MVP trophy.

Troy was a good QB. But Emmitt was the main reason the Cowboys won 3 Super Bowls.

That, and some pretty stellar play by the defense in all three Super Bowls. Forced nine turnovers in SB XXVII; Safety James Washington could have made a good case for Super Bowl MVP in SB XXVIII, and Larry Brown was the Super Bowl MVP in SB XXX.

The difference between the two is when you pull up playoff numbers. One choke, the other just wins.

no.
what i mean to say is troy has 3 rings.
one of the greatest big game, post season QBs to ever play the game.
deadly accurate.
you are vastly under-rating a great qb.

I wouldn’t doubt this is the race card angle. Tad and his boys played this during Dak’s contract with respect to Romo. Even the dummy Dez pulled it out. We got Dak-fans on here using the same excuse for our ‘hatred’ of Dak.

BTW, Roger Staubach was a career 57% passer. He led the league in passing TDs in 1973 with 23 total TDs. The most he ever threw in a season 27.

WRs weren’t even allowed to use gloves back then. DBs were allowed to play with contact past 5 yards for the majority of Roger’s career.

Dak clowns back at it with this generational nonsense.

So using a tweet by a QB everyone laughs at for his time in Dallas to support a false narrative in favor of Dak is funny. You have a 3-time winning Super Bowl era that focused more on the rush than on passing being compared to a QB that has 1 playoff win in 6 seasons in a football era that emphasizes the pass.

These are the extreme lengths Dak fans will go to try and boost their 'hero' QB.

BTW, Marino and Elway are CAREER upper 50 percentile completion percentage…. If anybody thinks these two wouldn’t light up todays league, they don’t know QB play period..
