Ferguson plus the 2nd rounder last yr and Hendershot . Stephens would make a nice addition to the practice squad plus the UDFA this yr . How many does this team need ?
Stephens was going to beat out Hendershot last year and then Hendershot went and had a really disappointing season. I think they keep Ferguson, Schoonmaker, Stephens, and Spann-Ford.

It looks like they will try to keep 4.

I think that you got it right.

Oh screw it. I'm sorry I brought it up. They both are around 13 to 1. Both are 10.5 wins on the season.
Several days ago, MGM placed the Lions at +1200 (12/1) and the Cowboys +1800 (18/1) [link]. One casino does not have Dallas close to 13/1 odds. Numbers tend to fluctuate between oddsmakers but rarely to that degree. Perhaps the margin will decrease between the teams before the start of the regular season.

Who do you think has a better chance at making the playoffs Detroit or Dallas? I personally think both of them will. How about you?
Answer: Detroit. The Lions have the offense, defense and coaching. Special teams was their weakest area last season. Their upcoming schedule is tough but not difficult enough to prevent the team from reaching the postseason as a wild card at minimum out of the NFC North.

Presently, I have lesser confidence in Dallas making a fourth straight postseason appearance. What the team and the rest of the NFC East teams demonstrate in preseason may alter my opinion but that is still several months away.

If Hendershot can’t stay healthy he’s gone . I remember that beautiful over the shoulder TD he made in Jax his rookie yr. He’s got promise now it has to translate .

I watched a good number of Detroit Lions games last season. They proactively spread the ball around in that offense. Tight ends behind Sam LaPorta were getting respectable receiving opportunities whenever they hit the field.

This is an excellent second chance for Sean McKeon to show what he is capable of--albeit in a limited capacity. I almost always dislike losing a player to another team but a player's career is his own. Hopefully, he makes the best out of a fresh start.
They also focused on establishing the run.
