THUMPER;3275417 said:I especially liked the line about Marino's 5000 yards in 1984 being equivalent to Wilt Chamberlain's 50+ points per game average in 1961/62.
No one, other than Wilt himself, has come closer than 37 points per game in a season, which was Michael Jordan in 1986/87, 13 points per game lower than Wilt's record!
Kobe Bryant is the only active player in the top-10 at #8 with 35.40 points per game in 2005/06. Chamberlain holds 5 of the top-6, including the top-4 seasons.
Last year Drew Brees came within 15 yards of Marino's record (5069 - 5084).
Marino's record will fall soon, probably within the next 3 years the way the game has changed to favor passing. Wilt's has stood for 40 years and no one has come anywhere close to it, I don't believe they ever will either.
Marino's 48 TD passes has already been eclipsed twice by Manning in 2004 with 49 and by Brady in 2007 with 50.
This guy is obviously an idiot, and a young one at that, he should avoid talking about subjects that he has no knowledge of. :bang2:

THUMPER;3275432 said:No, he didn't get even the title correct because it is merely a list of QBs he thinks are the best ever.
The correct title should have been: "10 QBs that I think were the best ever".

I stand corrected and well learned. Did he get the language correct, or was he speaking some Whitlockism?

Romo 2 Austin;3275570 said:lol he 90% googled QB names.
Brady Manning Elway and Favre where the only ones he knew.
No Aikman on the top 10 with Brady is extremely idiotic. Aikman won 3 super bowls, didnt lose one and was actually a good QB.
Aikmaniac;3275390 said:Umm...Steve Young above Roger Staubach?
Rustinpeace21;3275816 said:very bias arguement right there...saying aikman won three super bowls and and didnt lose any is stupid. After Bradys 3 super bowl win should he have stopped trying? Im sure anyone here would take 4 super bowl appearances with 75% winning percentage with any qb
And hes still got a good 4 years left in him
