Maybe there is more to the story. Maybe the F.O. is being forced to make some tough decisions and as a courtesy a phone call was made to a Fox sports executive. Maybe this is an effort to soften the blow of a difficult conversation coming.

Pure speculation but I find it odd for Fox Sports to try to lure him away when he has already said he would be back.
