It seems like he always gets up. Lucky bastid.

Oh, he's tough, no doubt about it. But he is also old -- there is a reason why their coach wanted to pull him when they still had an opportunity to gain home-field advantage throughout.

I think at this point of his career, he can be broken. And we have the guys to do it.

Childress is an idiot, which is why we have a good shot at winning against those guys. Assuming we win our first playoff game since the birth of Christ.

The Packers are the team I'm most worried about, but I think the Cowboys beat them in a rematch at home. The Cowboys played probably their worst game of the season against them and lost by 10, but they left so many points on the field. Folk missed the 38 yard FG, Roy caught and then fumbled the ball at the GB 30, the Cowboys threw on 1st and Goal at Green Bay's 1 and got it intercepted. The Cowboys also got some bad calls like Green Bay not being penalized for challenging with no timeouts remaining and the refs not reviewing the play where Felix recovered Romo's fumble which led to Green Bay's last touchdown. A couple of these things not happening may have won the game for the Cowboys despite how bad they played. I do think Green Bay's offense provides the Cowboys with the biggest challenge with a good running game combined with a lot of quick receivers running short routes. Green Bay is playing a lot better since this game, but so are the Cowboys.

I will be sick if we can't get it done against the Eagles. That is just not an option. But as another poster said, I feel pretty comfortable about this matchup even though the "one and done" nature of the playoffs can be pretty stressful.

It's funny, back in the early and mid-nineties, I had NO worries about our team, except when they played the Niners. There was no doubt in my mind they were going to crush the Bills in that first SB. I was watching the game with some Bills fans too -- I felt sorry for them before the game even began. :laugh2:

Winning in Minn just isn't very likely IMO. Theyre just a complete different team at home. They'll be fav over who they play in the divisional by 6 points.

Yeah yeah...New Orleans was unbeaten at home too when we beat them. They were favored by a good bit as well.

People are constantly hanging their hat on the "It's too hard to beat a team 3 times" crap. Good to see the stat where it's happened 12/19 times. Stats don't lie.

Same here, which is why I am glad we would face them at home if at all.

+1

It's not because of who they have beaten or that we've lost to them before, or how they're playing right now. We just don't play very well against 3-4 defenses and they have the weapons on offense to beat us if we give them enough opportunities.

Minnesota concerns me and the Eagles are the Eagles, but I think we have their number. The Saints? They haven't played all that well in about six weeks. Arizona? They went to the SB last season, but I think we have the secondary to beat them.

I'm predicting a Dallas Greenbay NFC Championship game.

Yeah I'm not on the love fest train myself... I liked it better when everyone was picking against Dallas!

The real underrated team is Green Bay.

I agree - they have played very well for most of the year after getting off to a slow start. They are the most balanced team in the league outside of the Cowboys.

I think our biggest advantage is we have Wade Phillips at DC. He basically had a pretty good game plan against the Packers but that was the start of our offensive funk which continued until we started scheming to get Miles involved early in games and stopped pretending Roy was the #1.

They are playing well, but you might have to temper that a bit with who they've played.

Since they beat us, they have only beaten one team that is in the playoffs. That would be the Ravens.

I agree with this.

Green Bay has beaten one team with a winning record, and that was Dallas. Tough game, but things bounced the Packers way late, and three turnovers from Dallas led to 10 points for the Packers.

When they beat the Ravens, the Ravens were 6-6 and missing defensive players Ed Reed and Terrill Suggs.

When they beat the Cardinals, GB's starters basically beat Arizona's backups.

The Packers barely beat a crappy Bear team twice, needing multiple turnovers to win both games. The Bears would have won both games had they not turned the ball over.

They lost to Tampa Bay. Beating the Lions twice is nothing to brag about either. Oh, and they beat the mighty, mighty Browns and the mighty, mighty Rams. And the 49er's almost beat them at Lamblow. Then the great Seahawks. Impressive.

They have played 4 games with teams with a winning record (Minnesota twice, Cincinnati, and Dallas) and have lost 3 of the 4. (Yeah, you could say Baltimore, but they were 6-7 after the loss to Green Bay, and then climbed back into the "winning record" column by beating Chicago, Detroit, and Oakland...three sucky teams.)

I'm not saying the Packers are bad, I just think they are not as good as everyone here thinks they are. They are a team that feeds off turnovers....if they don't get the turnovers, they lose.

Yeah, but the Cards were taking the day off. Matt Leinart was running the show, for Pete's sake. And that can't be good for anybody. :LOL

But yes, the Pack will beat the Cards -- Warner's last great show was last year. Now he is just an old QB who performed well in the regular season, but will likely be broken in two this weekend.

Old bodies don't react well to playoff football. LOL

That's one place where I think we might have a distinct advantage over the Vikings. Favre is a statue back there and if we get a couple of blindsiders on him, he might not get up.

Personally, I rather the Cards won that game then beat the Saints. I rather play the Cards than GB.

I am not buying into this Packers hype and I am definitely not scared to play them. They needed all kinds of miscues by us to beat us at home. They couldn't move the ball on our defense(no one has since Week 2) and didn't put us away until the 4th quarter of that game. Nothing really scares me about the Packers. If you are going to be scared of playing them you might as well be scared of playing the Eagles because to me the Eagles have more threats on offense than the Packers. The Packers remind me of the Falcons from last year. They are coming into the playoffs hot and sort of everyone's vogue pick to be a darkhorse. The Falcons got smacked down by the Cards in the 1st round. I don't fear the Packers at all.
