No, but he's cut from the same cloth as Aikman or Palmer.

Is that sarcasm?

Palmer hasn't reached Aikman's level yet, and he may never, but Henson isn't even in the same league.

Geez, the guy injuries his leg and obviously that has affected his throwing, and now he is already ready to be cut. But then I kind of expected this from most fans.

I think the point we're trying to make is they play the same style, and carry themselves in similar ways.

Not how great they've been on the field yet.

Did somebody say it was a sprained MCL? Do you think he will get the call to come home after this, to rest his knee and be here for the VET mini-camp?

Of course it isn't sarcasm, how the hell did you come up with that? "The same cloth" means that they each have similiar physical traits inherent to running a pro-style offense. All three are strong-armed, pocket passers with the desired prototypical size.

Try not to confuse this with accomplishment.

Does anyone think the Starting QB job for the Rhein FIre is up for grabs now?

I have been a strong Henson backer, but for some reason am not enamored with him and haven't been the whole time he's been in NFLE. Will he come back better? Maybe. Better than Romo? Probably not in BPs eyes.

Henson shouldn't be losing the starting job to the all time int leader in the NCAA.

I hope the decision was all about Henson's knee hurting too badly and not that he was something like 2-6 for 0 yards in the 3rd and part of the 4th qtr.

He cut from the same cloth, as far as style.

The only thing that Henson has in common with Aikman and Palmer is he's Big and White.

It really ends there.

What the heck does skin color have to do with anything?

Why does anyone pollute a quality board with garbage such as this. Race-baiting and juvenile talk fits right in at the Cesspool, why don't you take it there?

Chad Hutchinson looked the part, and i know where your soming from, and I agree. Henson looks like a QB. As hyped up as he was by some, he should be thrashing that league.

I'm a white guy, and if I think the only thing he has in common with Carson and Troy is that he's big and white, then I'll damn sure make that comment.

Thanks.

That was a pretty boring game. The Fire almost won it, but...

Eventhough Henson hurt his knee, he was still looking pretty bad these last few games, at least to me he has. He just seems to not be making the good decisions, and his deep ball is no good lately. Mabye he can bounce back, but, my hope for the guy is gradually running out.

If they let Chang throw the ball all over the place, why not try that with Henson to see what he does. The times that Henson does throw the ball, it's really not looking good, even before he hurt his knee.

Also, does it look like Henson is getting tired after these, what, 5 or 6 games? Or is it just me? I wonder if the football layoff for all those years, and now, having to come and play a full game everyweek, I wonder if he is starting to wear out a little?

Oh well, there is next week for him to bounce back, if he's OK. As another poster mentioned, they should just call Henson home now, and get that knee fixed for the real football coming up if they expect him to contribute. Henson does not need anymore NFLE ball...at least that's what I think.

This is when common sense should take over for you. Just by showing up doesn't mean anything.

He's played games where he's had to use TE's at receiver.

He's had absolute horrible protection at times and has had to carry them for the most part.

Guess with the draft last week you didn't see how he brought his team back from behind with not much time left on the clock to win the game.

I dont care if Payton Manning was over there. If guys dont catch passes, players get injured, OL cant block, your not going to be successfull no matter who you are.

I doubt you are going to convince some that rest of the talent on the team should matter. They don't see the bone headed decisions that Chang makes for all the good throws he does make.

All they see is, Chang flinging it all over the field without abandon sometimes. Sure they work most of the time, but on key times, they fail. But to say Henson looked bad before the knee got injured, is idiotic. His stats and throws prove otherwise.

And especially his Deep balls have been on the money ever since the 3rd game of the season, this he knee injury now. To say otherwise, is either the person hasn't seen the games or just wants to project something.

The last two weeks have been not been that great. Drew looked rushed today, but when Timmy got in there he had all kinds of time to throw. THe team reacts different when Chang is in there for some reason.

Yeah, talent matters, and there have been injuries. I've seen a lot of drops and I've seen a ton of throws sail over guys heads and throws behind guys.

He needs to work on accuracy and holding onto the ball.

Anyone who can honestly say that he hasn't regresed since their back to back losses to I beleive it was Hamburg(?), I may be wrong about the team, but I think those losses are in his head.

None of the teams over there are stacked with talent. That arguement is kinda flawed. All those players trying to develop. I have seen every game that Henson has played in over there. I really would rather see him succeed. At the same time, I have no reason to look at his performance through rose colored glasses either.

By the way, Chang flinging it around worked most of the time today, and it did work at a key time.....he threw what would have been a game winning TD, but too much time was left on the clock, the other team kicked a FG with 4 seconds left.

Chang may NOT BE, but the last few weeks he has LOOKED LIKE the better QB.

Henson seems to be fading.

We have Drew for the next 3 years playing top level.....personally, I am not worried about the QB position.

How about an offensive line?

Disappointing game. Henson looked shaken after his MCL sprain and probably should have been taken out right away. He didn't look good today. Hope he has a chance to end the NFLE season on a positive note.

Kind of reminds you of TC, doesn't it?

I was one who always said Henson hasn't shown why he should be the future QB for the team. Then he was playing well and I thought there might be hope. But, he's put me right back where I was at the beginning of the NFLE season.

He and Chang have the same tools to work with, it just appear Chang know how to use them. There's still time, though.

Who would have guessed? As soon as he started playing bad - if that is even the case of what happened - the anti-Hensonites are in full force again.

Wow. EveryoneElse sounds like Nors or Bad Attitude. Rallying around Timmy Chang? Henson fading? Where have I heard that before?

Before you go out on a limb pal, you oughta either know what your talking about, or go back do some quick researching.

I've been a Henson fan, one of his biggest fans. I've never advocated Romo over Henson, I even wanted him to start from the time that Vinny got hurt. I have been soured on him recently. I have no reason to praise or defend a guy that hasn't done anything for the Dallas Cowboys.

I have my doubts about Henson. Henson should be twice the QB Timmy Chang is. He's been around for going on 3 years, has ran a scout offense and has probably watched a ton of game film. Timmy Chang looked like a decent prospect today, while Henson, even B4 his knee was hurt wasn't doing anything.

I doubt Timmy Chang will ever be much more than a #2 if that, but Henson doesn't look too much better at this point.
