Frederick Extreme Nastiness

I did not know he was an EE. I too graduated with a degree in it. I also have a Masters in CE. This makes me root for him even more.

I'm a EE also. Maybe I'll see if Frederick wants to discuss some Electromagnetic Field Theory when I go to training camp.

Erik Williams is still one of my favs. Watching Reggie White whine and cry about Williams dominating is one of my best cowboys memories from the 90's. I can still see White begging the refs to help him out while Williams just grinned and walked away.

I always liked watching Regina whining to the refs about Williams. I remember one game Regina got so upset with Eric Williams dominating him, he turned towards the fans yelling and shaking his fists at the crowd.

He coould be drafted by any team...I am simply weary of his true potential impact on the NFL level.

Frederick is one of the safest picks in the entire draft. You get what you see, which is a very strong, aggressive, mean, huge center who is strong, smart and can play guard. Not much room for downside there. He has played in a pro style blocking scheme in college, excelled at it, and will be doing the same exact thing in the pros. While the C position isn't sexy, it is a neccessity.

Reach is my opinion, certainly not a fact based on NFL production. I think there are plenty of guys that would have helped the (potentially) Cowboys more.

Not at Center. He was the highest rated pivot guy on the Cowboys board and they deemed it very important to get that fixed this offseason. They absolutely loved his physical skills, his smarts and as this article points out, his mean, aggressive attitude. No longet is the center of the Cowboys offensive line soft... either physically or attitude wise.

Considering what the Cowboys needs were and how important getting a huge, smart, tough guy to anchor their OL, I'm not so sure there were a lot of better picks, frankly.

I really like the Frederick pick for a lot of reasons... this is just one.

Yep. I've loved the player and the potential of landing him since he declared. It's a huge upgrade over anything we've fielded at C since Gurode's prime and IMO he can be better than that.

While I never wanted him at 18, he was definately the prospect at 47, and I a bit worried he would be gone at 47. So once we traded down and I saw the board it was Frederick or Elam for me and if both would be gone by 47, I would take Frederick 10 times out of 10.
