I don't know why but it would not surprise me to see them pull the trigger on a day-2 QB. Remember when Romo missed most of the 2015 season, they went hunting for his replacement during the next draft (2016 ). Strongly considered Wentz, Pason, and Connors before settling on Dak.

The circumstances are similar ..........Dak's age, years in the league, injury history.

They can draft a QB and save mega $$$

Sucks that it's such a bad QB draft, and we have so many other needs. It'd really suck to invest a 3rd rounder, for example, on a QB when we still need starters at so many positions.

Jerry will not bring back Lance. As when Dak goes down with another injury. And Trey performs well. It will show how stupid he was to give Dak that contract.

Or, Lance signs somewhere else as a backup, gets an opportunity to start due to injury, and plays admirably. That would show how stupid Jerry was for giving up a 4th, paying 1st money and not playing him for an extended period in a washed year. Which is worse in Jerry’s scary mind?

I am not sure this is the draft to select any QB. I would rather play it out with Dak and if necessary Will Grier as the backup. The upside is when Dak gets injured and misses most of the season, we get a top-5 pick in the 2026 draft which will hopefully have better QB candidates.

Cooper Rush had more TDs and fewer INTS than the highest paid player ever in the same amount of games last season.

We we on our way to a lottery pick with Dak, but Cooper Rush just can't keep from winning.

Yeah its much like Royce Freeman, Dalvin Cook and Zeke last year. They were all washed and only Zeke saw the field, even though he shouldnt have.

It’s just flat bizarre. Offering RBs averaging 3.6 ypc any kind of FA deal - even cheap - is a waste of cap space. I would feel way better if we just put our RB chips into the draft.

Two good rookie RBs with upside, energy and less cost is way better than throwing these one year FA contracts to guys who are driving on bald tires.

Cheapest QB options for me would be Brett Rypien and Desmond Ridder.
