What about Romo on Thursdays?

Regardless of what romo does, he has to work on his game preparation- his sharpness that made him great the first few years of commentary has finished greatly

I agree. Hopefully, if either CBS brings him back or he gets another gig elsewhere, he takes it more seriously and gets back to what made him great.

To be honest I would like him to make it back home here No not immediately be handing anything for free be an offensive consultant work his way into maybe being the next offensive coordinator here maybe the head coach down the road or maybe in a capacity like Troy Aikman and John Elway have done And no Troy has not proved anything yet but there has seems to be a trend with ex quarterbacks being consultants with teams and then maybe earning their way into a bigger role in the front office..

I mean I thought Jimmy was gonna start doing that it seems like Jerry and him are on good terms now I'd like them to start building a future front office when Jerry and Steven don't feel like doing it anymore and I feel like feel like they were definitely headed in that path they are kind of growing tired of their own shtick you know maybe lessen their responsibilities at the same time put people they trust and care about into the mix...

So I'd like him to find his way over here let him come over here let him be the consultant of some kind and be on the sidelines you know get into the Mix in some way for the Dallas Cowboys. mix in some way for the Dallas Cowboys.
Romo makes very bad decisions at critical times don't think we need him involved with the organization .
He had a profitable career here enough is enough.

That said I love him in the booth enjoy listening to him analyze the games hope he keeps his job and if he doesn't I hope he gets another and look forward to listening to him commentate on games again.

yeah nobody knows, I will just wait and see.

I am wondering if maybe tony has a drinking problem, that was interfering with work before??

He should think about buying or building a golf course lol, he seems to love golf.

Honestly, I could see it. I could be wrong, but there have been a couple occasions where he sounded a little tipsy the last couple years on CBS.

Listen, I am not in any way defending what Romo did. It was foolish and dangerous and could have caused harm to him or to others.

But the man made a mistake and I have no idea why he would lose his spot at CBS over it. Everyone knew some of the things Michael Irvin did and he held spots at ESPN and NFL Network for a long time.

At this point I think Romo should just issue a public statement, raise drunken driving awareness while he's at it, and then go back to the booth calling games on Sundays.

I don't think it was that. His first couple years in the booth, he knew a ton of players and coaches. When he watched the games he looked at them through the eyes of a quarterback and called them accordingly.

But the longer he was at CBS, the more teams changed rosters and philosophies. Romo lost some of that edge because he no longer had the reserves of knowledge he had from watching film while preparing for games.

I don't think he's gotten worse at his job. He just lacks the same insight because so much has changed and these aren't the same teams he was once fresh off preparing to play every week.

You watch a game on Fox the best production top to bottom then you watch Amazon it’s like going to the minor leagues . The camera work the graphics. I really don’t see Romo elevating the product . I do love my Prime though very few issues with deliveries .

I do think he would actually. I think he and Michaels would do well together with their styles.

Their game production is trash.

Romo is probably done broadcasting . Maybe get job doing cable network college games . Maybe…but will be a few years.

Jethro has some pull at NFL network. Maybe become a jock on pregame shows.
