Then we were amazed by Dak's rookie season. I've never seen a better rookie season for a quarterback. I hear Ben Roethlisberger had one something like it, but I don't follow the Squealers.

The oline and Zeke were truly dominant that year. Dak was a good running QB and a competent bus driver who played mistake free ball.
Dak was in a perfect situation for a rookie QB and he *played* it perfectly for what he was. He was nowhere near the passer he is now, but didn't need to be. Zeke and the oline rolled, and the oline protected Dak. Move the ball. Drive the bus. Run (6 TDs!). And don't make mistakes.
